Heh, my dumb-ass neighbor laid his hand on a pirated copy. The trick is, it's a DVD image of the retail discs, and the PC version uses Steam. This means, nobody is going to be able to install it, to say nothing about playing, before the release date.
And that's an anti-piracy measure I can live with.

Given the game...I could see it going either way. Guess it just depends on if your Boss is male or female.

Meat = meet. Blame autocorrect.

Well, there is the giant purple floppy sex toy bat thing. That counts as meat right?

Having just finished the main campaign, I found it monumentally fun. The end comes fast, but its awesome. Also... zombies.

It's because GTA5 is aiming for a kind of "The Sopranos" mood, while SR3 just wants to headbutt hookers in the ovaries and blow shit up while running naked through the main street.

Looks like GTA for loons (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Is it a good idea to pick up the first two games before this one?

You don't have to, but there's a good bit of backstory and references to them, as well as the history of knowing how the Third Street Saints became the giants they are. Such as why So-And-So hates the Saints so much, and quite a few names that are spoken about, and, of course, Benjamin King's movie (Based on the book that came out in Saints Row 2.). It starts out as a GTA Clone, and then just ramps up the Pink Mohawk Attitude. There's even a Magician in Saints Row 2! It's like Stilwater/Steelport are on heavy Mana Spikes and there's lots of Adepts around!

It also makes Johnny Gat and the Protagonist (Playa/Boss) feel that much more bad-ass. They're both available on the X-Box Marketplace, Saints Row 2 is available on the PS3 Store, as downloads. Good luck finding a copy of the first Saints Row for PS3 that's in playable condition. I'm thinking of hitting up EB Games to see if I can find Saints Row 2 used in a good condition, as there's DLC out for it that I didn't play (And I want to enjoy the game again.).

Hold on. A MAGICIAN? You mean, that creepy-ass Sunshine dude? Considering what you need to off him, I'd rather say he was a pissed-off loa or, worse, a shadow spirit. Although I guess that loa ain't the friendliest of the spirit bunch anyway.

Exactly. Possession-Based Magician.

Honestly, Saints Row is "Shadowrun's Past".

Saints Row 2 is available on Steam. Actually, let me double-check. Yep, it's for sale, $14.99.

Saints Row 2 for PC is kind of a mess. But its super cheep on Steam.
Its the poster child for 'Poorly optimized' console ports. But if you have a decent rig, it will run, just don't expect a lag free game.

In my utter stupidity, I got Rage for PC as I finally have a decent rig for gaming. And five hours later...

"THAT'S F***ING IT? AND THAT ENDING??? RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SKRIM OR SOMETHING!"

So, I screwed around with the budget and got Saints Row: The Third to wash the taste out because I can't handle something like Skrim at the moment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif)

Yep, the car chases are nearly impossible to complete. That is, expect if your able to pin the other car and have stuffed yours with gang members that can pepper it with weapons fire.

Yeah, I'd suggest it more for console then. Used PS3s and 360s go pretty cheap now. Just get from a reputable Fixe... Er, store. Damn, got Shadowrun on the brain at the moment.

Oh, met the Mayor, and he's THE ONE GUY THE PROTAGONIST DOES NOT TALK SMACK TO! Three games of being a complete and total bad-ass and back-talking ruthless killers, and we find the one guy he won't say shit to if his mouth was full of it!

Then I had to cry at the last bonus you get for beating the game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif) Hopefully him and Lin can go around on murder sprees in the later games. Apparently the fourth has been announced, and they're ramping it up even MORE!

I didn't even know the dial had a 21!

Note the unplayability of car chases was a reference to Saints Row 2, not 3. In 3 they did not hire out for the PC version, but developed it in house alongside the console version. Btw, anyone else see a pattern about sub-contracting version of sections of the game and the results turning up sub-par? The much pissed on boss battles in DEHR was also sub-contracted.
