I've never had a character take it, even after explaining what it is.

Since they don't do extractions from extraterritorial areas without clearing it with the corp first its not much good so I haven't seen anyone take it in a long time.

I've never had a player in a group who felt that having a tracking beacon permanently attached to him was a good idea. I don't understand why, I mean DocWagon says that they keep all the data confidential. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Some of my characters have it, some of them don't. I don't usually think it's a good idea, but sometimes the character would, so then obviously you buy it. One of my current characters is a paraplegic with ALS: you can bet he has DocWagon; my other current character is a homeless war vet without enough money for a hot meal: you can bet health care isn't at the top of his list of priorities.

My character has a two-tier system. A group of runners on rotation for extraction and then Doc Wagon to help him once he is back on "native soil".

depends a lot on the character
I have a sinner character with it, but they are a matrix jockey. So doc wagon htr will come to their doss if needed because as far as the locals are concerned it's a legit pickup. Especially with his dayjob being one that might result in an extraction... and with them being a TM (500bp with a little house ruling on complex forms) there is no data on site to use as evidence.. |

I have one character that swears by it. Of course, he has a Gold+ Account with the Health Insurance and all the Electives checked. Of course, he also won the "Health Insurance Lottery" after a building fell on him.
The rest depends on the characters and what they feel about Corporations. Doc Wagon is one of the 'Runner Friendly corps in my mind, however. Especially when you consider that Shadowrunners pay *THEM* to never pull a Shadowrun against Doc Wagon. They're not about to bite the hand that exfiltrates their hoops from bad situations. (This is the explanation I use for the little story in Attitude.). |

Which is why it's cool to do Doc Wagon games.
