The WNYC story is pretty interesting (first link is a collection of things, which just happens to be where I found the second link, which is the story I just heard on the radio).

Hasn't ShadowRun gotten there, in some respect?

Surprised this hasn't happened earlier. The technology isn't that complex, especially with the new wireless networking we have available to us. It's not like they need to be militarized or satlinked like military drones need to be.
