Laughlyn - I was blowing smoke outta my ass, a common pasttime. :D

But it make one think - Out of all the corp targets I've hit (not too many, btw, amazingly.) the Security detail tended to be the most irritating. Sure, the company man could out-shoot me rather well, but the sheer weight of iron pointed in my direction needed some magic to make the pain to go away.

It's just odd - that a max-miner could concievably spend billions in karma to become the "slickest gun there is" by going to level 10, 11, etc and be hit rather easily by a rifled-drone with a couple of G's spent upgrading the firearms software.

Now - what's the chance that the very skilled Company man would be able to survive the amount of firepower a paltry, jumped-up ganger with a panther? None? Minimal? What's his reaction? Etc.

I find that the skills tended to be on the lower side of world-class. Sure, I might be good, but I'm not a war machine (yet) who can sneeze while firing a shot, and still manage to take down three Street-sams with the ricochette. I've trained, got skills where I need it but I'm not unique...especially not as unique as "_the book_" tells me I am.

So - I tend to give the npc's the benifit of the doubt. But I don't fudge the dice when rolling them. Poor bastards. Toxic wave on a stairwell, and they threw ones....

Security guards behind 95% cover (armored glass) with assault rifles are amazing effective brave and well worth the cost. Why sit out in the open and get shot at? The idea behind a siege is to not die.
