I think a lot of the recent interest is both from Shadowrun Returns and SR5.

That said, anyone waiting for a game, try to be patient, but maybe also check individual PBP game threads, looking for recruiting GMs, as they don't always check this particular thread. In fact, that's exactly how I got into my current game - I picked a likely thread, read through it to make sure recruiting was still open, then got slotted in for a game, presumably with my GM never even looking at this thread.

Currently, I'm happy to be a player instead of my usual GMing role with my local gaming group, but maybe after I've gotten more used to the new system I'll offer to GM my own PBP campaign. No promises though, as I'm not sure I'm up to the challenge - I currently GM for close friends, and that changes the table dynamics drastically, allowing for a less skilled and less experienced GM such as myself to still succeed pleasantly.

Hey, my first post on Dumpshock; as face to face games of Shadowrun have dried up for me, I'm looking to try my hand at PBP. I am GMT+1, and can post 3 or more times a week. Particularly like the SR4 setting - don't think I'll look at SR5 until it's more established and support books are out. I have a couple of standing characters that I can bring up to scratch - my naive dwarf/changeling radical eco-shaman is the one I most want to try out, but I also have a veteran ork gunslinger adept, and a concept for a deluded transhuman rigger/sam in mind, too.

I'm looking for an SR4A game that takes place any day except Sunday, that plays over some real-time method such as IRC or Roll20, though I'd consider a PbP if I really liked the premise and chargen constraints.

Preferably something that starts the players off as advanced Runners in Seattle, but I'll take pretty much whatever I can get, as long as the GM can make reasonable assurances that the game won't run for a month and a fortnight and then vanish.

I'm a very reliable player, as I have nothing but time on my hands, and I like a lot of roleplay to go with my rollplay.

I'm brand new to the SR system and setting, so would appreciate an introductory game of some kind to get my feet wet. I don't know anybody who GMs locally, so figured PBP was a good way to start. Slow pace is appreciated, as I'm also a student, and school always comes first.

I have the SR5 core and current errata, but have yet to generate a character. I'm interested in generally getting familiar with the system and archetypal setting and style, so guessing I'd want perhaps a couple other players, possibly newbies like me.

I'm looking for an SR4 game. I only played one PbP game before, but I hope this will be no problem. I can post up to 5 days per week, but sometimes ( about every 2 months) I might not be home and thus post less often. I am from germany, so GMT+1. I am also up for playing over roll20.net or similar.
I am not a native speaker, but believe to be fluent ( and I am able to use a translator (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ).

I could provide most character types besides Deckers, but would like to play a Street Sam of mine. Life has once again seen fit to bless me with free time, so I'd like to get back into SR. Last time I played was about 4 years ago, and I ran 3rd ed for a group of friends who drifted apart as a gaming group due to various life issues (moving for work and family, mostly).

I'm in EST time zone, available pretty much 6-12pm M-F and anytime on the weekends. Willing to play any edition, just about any role, although I don't tend to get weird. Haven't had much luck with PBP games, they all seem to die out, but online is good - I can do Skype, Roll20, Google Hangouts, Teamspeak, etc. On the off chance anyone has a FTF group going within an hour of Columbia SC, I'm up for that as well.
