Some people are having problems getting manually approved.

If CAPTCHA is the reason for manual approval, use a question instead of CAPTCHA to cutoff spambots.

Example: What are the last three letters of Shadowrun spelled backwards?

I'm not clear on who is having problems? We're activating accounts when we get requests. The process is defined in the activation email from the system as well as several pinned topics across the board. This process has maintained a level of zero spam.

The problem with custom solutions are the development time, of which the members of the Dumpshock support team who have the capability lack the spare cycles.

I am open to solutions that make registration more seamless for new members. I struggle where there is an LOE to implement or it opens us up to spammers.

Blackhammer spammers so we don't need the hoops for new members to join?

I'm not sure of the guy's username, but he is a local player who was only able to contact me through Skype because I listed my username in my post. He stated he had created two usernames and neither got approved.

Has he sent an email to activate it? You can also PM us his username and we can use that as validation.

I had some problems getting authorized. the first comfirmation email I hit but it was the weekend so sunday I requested another validation email got it followed the link, and redjack authorized me today. It is kind of slow. I had began to wonder with all the old dates on threads if the site might be dead. glad it is not.
@Redjack thanks for posting the link in Shadowrun universe.
