Reminds me of the drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket. They brought him in as an adviser for the actor. But after the director heard him give a long tirade of swearing without any repeats, the actor was told to go home and the real one given the movie role.
Btw, the archetype as so permeated Hollywood that even Norwegian conscripts fear getting into uniform. Never mind that the Norwegian military do not subscribe to the ideas that drive the US boot camp. |
