Wasn't it Darth Bane that made that rule? Only two. And the Emporer signs, " Just the two of us... we can make it if we try... Just the two of us..." |

It is pretty clear that a force-sensitive person could easily be rejected from the Jedi Order in the Old Republic because he or she was not just right; too old, too angry, too emotional, etc. This means that there was a decent-sized pool of force-sensitive people for the Empire to recruit dark jedi from easily, because it would not be difficult to get at the Jedi records as to who was force sensitive but passed over.
In addition, it is clear that the Jedi missed some force-sensitive bloodlines altogether, as indicated by the number of Jedi that pop up over the decade or so following the origional movies. Several dozen potential jedi surface, indicating the possibility of nearly that many blood-lines that survived the purges. What I think happened was the the Empire contacted all of the force-sensitive people passed over by the Jedi and all the ones it could find on its own and then turned them against the Jedi Order. Most of these died killing off the Jedi. Others were probably killed by the Emporer for various acts of disobedience. A few more show up after the origional movies in various novels. In addition to dark Jedi, there were many highly skilled bounty hunters, as was mentioned before. Fett's armor and armor like it, although rare, allowed them to match Jedi, as is seen in the movies. In addition, the Empire built various assassin droids. Once the afore-mentioned propoganda campaign kicked in and the weaker Jedi were killed off, the Empire just clamped down whenever Jedi were sighted. The Jedi would quickly find themselves alone in the galaxy. |

Hell yea! :notworthy: bow before the superior D6 Star Wars! D20 and Star Wars should not mix. Like dinking and driving, it a bad bad combination that shouldn't have happened. |

Don't get me wrong... I love WEG Star Wars, but I just ran a Star Wars d20 game for my wife and best friend... and it seemed to work out pretty good. |

Ditto. I've played both, and I enjoy D20 Star Wars so much more. Furthermore, I can easily find a copy of the starship design and modification rules for D20 Star Wars (Starships of the Galaxy). I have, in all my years of searching, not found those rules for WEG Star Wars (and that was the big thing holding me back, because, as a player, I would want to customize my ship ala The Millenium Falcon, and my players would too). Furthermore, the cup-full-o-dice mechanic didn't go for me that much (Shadowrun rarely gets much more than six with most of my games). While dice-rolling in d20 Star Wars can be higher, the actual physical amount of dice being rolled is less. I also find I like the Revised and Expanded edition fixes a lot of the problems I had with the original edition of d20 Star Wars. I may convert stuff over from WEG Star Wars to D20, but I'm not going back. |
