So, apparently one of the designers who worked on Portal left Valve to make another science-themed first-person puzzle game. It's called Quantum Conundrum, and it's actually pretty good. The basic mechanic is at least as cool as Portal's... well, portals, and the puzzles are well-crafted without being cranium-smashingly obtuse. Also, mission control is voiced by John de Lancie! Professor Quadwrangle lacks GLaDOS' comedic sociopathy, but still manages to be funny, and whips out the occasional agonizing pun.
Bottom line: Quantum Conundrum is fun, and well worth $15. |
