IC: The Alicia Marks Affair Options

[Fu-Man Chu]

"Great . . . four trolls coming to join our little party. Any bets they're not here just looking for a vacant room?" Syl mutters back to the others.

Following Chip, Syl fiddles with some hidden buttons on her jumpsuit as readies her Steyr machine pistol. Seemingly to split into rubble, the Rapid Transit jumpsuit takes on an urban camoflauge pattern of multiple shades of grey.

A very faint smile flickers across Rent's face, but otherwise he seems impassive as he calmly watches the trolls approach.

"Huh. Wonder if this is just a random shakedown, or if they know anything. We'll find out soon enough."

He keeps his hands in sight, but is ready to quickdraw his pistol from its custom holster if violence breaks out. He reaches out with his empathic sense, trying to gauge the mood of these bruisers. The sight of the four massive trolls makes the others realize that Rent may be massive to a human, but is only an average-sized troll. Despite giving up size to the other trolls, though, he still looks quietly confident.

Syl glances back down the corridor and grimcces at seeing the barricaded back entry, "Looks like there's no easy way out of this place - any suggestions chummers?"

Rent shrugs slightly. "There's only four of them."

[snowRaven]

Chip smiles slightly.

"I suggest we try to figure out what they want, and more importantly - what they know."

Leaning lightly against the handrail of the stairs going up Chip double-cheks his combat skillsofts, making sure his tae kwon do and shotgun programs are loaded. Just in case.

[Fu-Man Chu]

"Well, sounds like you two would like to parley with the big boys. I'll leave it to you then as trolls never were great conversationalists in my youth."

[TinkerGnome]

The trolls cross the street slowly, apparently taking their time to size you up as they do so. One of them, taller and gaunter than the rest moves a little ahead of the others. "What you doin' down 'ere?" he asks bluntly.

Rent slowly steps forward ever so slightly, his face blandly expressionless except for the remote, icy coldness in his eyes.

"We were going to have a little talk with someone. But someone got here before we did, and it doesn't look like he'll be talking to anyone, ever. Neither will his neighbors. Would you gents happen to know anything about that?"

[snowRaven]

"You know, if you have seen anything suspicious going on around here lately, or something like that?"

Chip stays were he is, casually leaning aagainst the railing.

[TinkerGnome]

The trolls appear both unintelligent and confident in their abilities to smash problems rather than solve them through discussion. "Always somethin' suspicious happenin' down here. Likea buncha pinkskins walkin' round like deys own da place."

[snowRaven]

"Well, you are right, sir - that is suspicious. I guess we were a bit on edge after seeing what happened to our fellow pinkskin back there." Chip points over his shoulder with his thumb, and straightens up abit.

"You people keep a tight watch on this neighborhood, am I right? So we were thinking you chums might have seen who did the job back there, right?"

[TinkerGnome]

The troll in the lead shrugs. "We ain't seen n'thin."

Chip looks down at the floor, then back at the Trolls.

"Are you sure? If you happen to remember anything, it could be worth a little something..."
