Everybody, while Dak is polishing up his face character I think we can go ahead and start. As the IC thread says you each get a call around noon with an invite to a concert at Underworld 93.
You can post in the IC thread if you want to try talking doing any talking on the commlink and/or you want to describe how you're getting ready for the meeting. If there is anything in particular that you want to do, like legwork regarding the club or this stranger who just called you, post here in the OOC thread so we can get some rolls done and find out what the results are. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that none of you have met before and there will be some time when you arrive at the club for roleplaying that out. Any questions? |

Post the character sheets here, or leave them in the Recruiting thread? You can just leave them in the recruitment thread. I've got copies of everything on my own. If there were any last minute changes people wanted to make, feel free to post here or send me a PM. Also, those of you who used chummer for character building, i'd like it if you could email me a copy of the saved chummer file at jmeserve77 (at) gmail (dot) com. |

I've got my character mostly worked out, and sent to Slacker via email.
FYI, I will be looking to do a little preliminary investigation about the contact and the venue. |

As it turns out, Gardener played by kiirnodel already has MacCallister as a contact that I'd overlooked. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'll post a different IC call for him shortly.
Dak, what contact(s) are you going to be calling to find out information on MacCallister and Underworld 93? Roll me Charisma+Etiquette+Loyalty for the contact and we'll come up with some IC post of what the call is like. |

One of Mr. White's contacts is a corrupt detective. A nasty piece of work he is. A dwarf from iceland with a name that you can't pronounce. He's usually got some dirt though on who's-who on the street.
13D6E5 => 3 | ones: 2 (from http://rolz.org/) (3 successes) Another contact is a Club Owner- not the hottest place in town, but one that's popular with shadowrunners and some underworld elements. She should have a bit of info on this Underworld 93 joint. 14D6E5 => 4 | ones: 2 (4 successes) |

Gardner will ask MacCallister about the club before he heads out. And just to be sure, he lets a Browse program run on a Data Search for about half an hour after he hangs up.
Etiquette with MacCallister: 2 Successes Data Search (Browse R4): 4 Successes edit: just saw your post, most of this should fly still. The etiquette might be unnecessary. And I don't mind either character name or forum handle. I'll answer to either, so whatever is easiest for you. I would say at least for the IC, it sort of makes more sense to use character names... |

Gardener: With those results, you don't learn anything more than I've already mentioned to you.

Legs will likewise be doing some poking around after he gets the initial call.
Calling a former fellow Lone Star officer for info on the club (6D6 rolled via Chummer's die roller: 1 6 5 5 2 1 = 3 successes) And calling Frank, his fixer, for info on MacAllister (5D6 rolled via Chummer's die roller: 6 3 1 4 1 = 1 success) |

Ayup, sorry, hadn't had a chance to check into the forums yet today. Incoming post within an hour or so. Also, will shoot you my chummer file as soon as I make a tweak with the skills (kiir pointed out I could save some BP investing in a few groups as opposed to some of the individual skills).
Regarding my contacts: Mr. Sunshine is an incredibly obese troll fixer who tends to like to meet folks at places like You Should Not Eat So Much and other fine cheap buffet establishments. He's not able to move on his own, and thus rolls around in an incredibly tricked out Transys Steed that takes care of most bodily functions for him. Table manners are pretty much non-existent, and watching him eat has been known to induce vomiting. As far as speaking style and such, sarcastic and has a voice similar to the Fat Albert character. McBain is another street kid like Quixote. However, McBain went through his awakening early and life, and parlayed his not inconsiderable knack for finding things along with some street smarts to ingratiate himself to an experienced talismonger. After spending years tracking down telesma, foci and the like for him, McBain decided to strike out on his own and start his own talismongering business. Preferring the mobility that comes with not having a brick and mortar shop, McBain keeps several commlinks with ever changing MSP's and constant posts on ShadowSEA with the updated numbers and his current stock. Personality wise, he's a practical joker with friends that has trouble resisting the urge to play pranks. Upbeat, he tends towards standard cityspeak. Edit: Just adding rolls in this post. Checking up on Macallister w/Mr. Sunshine: Cha(2) + Loyalty (2) - Defaulting (1) (3d6.hits(5)=1) Datasearch on Underworld 93: Browse(6) + Data Search (4) + PuSHeD (1) + Encephalon (1) (12d6.hits(5)=3) |

Looks like Gardener will be the first to arrive. Tell me when the rest of you plan on getting there and how you make it there. Also, just past the troll bouncers there is a foyer with a coat and weapon check point. There is another door way with some shiny MAD detectors and more guards before you can get into the club proper.
Please tell me if any of you are trying to sneak any weapons inside. |

TW will plan on arriving via an autocab at 6:30 but 2 blocks from the club, to allow for lay-of-land scouting if things go south. He'll be at the club precisely at 7. Also, here's an Area Knowledge check for him to see if he can suss the appropriate dress code for the club: Intuition (4) + Seattle Area Knowledge (2) = 2 hits.

Tundra Wolf: Its a good thing you had were planning to have the cabbie drop you off 2 blocks away because that is about as close as it can get you with the crowd of people trying to get into the club tonight. Apparently, it's hit the local signalwaves that Mercurial will be in the house tonight and mobs of people have come out to catch of glimpse of her.
The club doesn't particularly have a dress code, but it's clientelle, especially for a concert like this, will tend to be more upscale. Your scouting reveals that you'll be contending with crowds leaving the place if things go south. Seems like there is one main entrance in the front and then a walled off area in the back for deliveries. It's gated, so you can see the layout back there, but you'd guess there is just a security door back there and you think you spot the roof of a storage shed too. At the door, the trolls greet you with weary suspicion, far too man people have been trying to talk their way inside. When you mention you're there for MacCallister, they check the guest list and usher you inside to find Cindy to show you to your table with the rest of the team. Mr. White: The troll bouncer double checks your name on his clipboard and nods you in. He mentions that you're the second of your party to arrive and that you should ask for Cindy at the bar to show you where your table is. As you pass through the crowd, you spot the mayor and he nods a greeting in acknowledgement when he sees you too. All: I'm enjoying the IC posts each of you are making and figured I might leave it up to you to describe your entrance and introduction each other. If you'd like me to do more flavor text, feel free to speak up and I will be happy to post more. The interior of the club is as you see in the maps I created (https://www.dropbox.com/s/qezg1t4bg2argcl/Underworld93_Floor1.bmp and https://www.dropbox.com/s/49brdv9mlm817l6/U...d93_Floor2.bmp). You'll be sitting at a table upstairs close to the railing that looks down over the stage. At 7:15, a local synthmetal band will be taking the stage to warm up the crowd so I hope you all can get some introductions done before then. |

FYI, Legs will try to get an Ares S-III SuperSquirt into the club past security, which is hidden in his Transys Steed's smuggling compartment.

Legs: The MAD scanner is triggered when you try to wheel your way through, but when security gives you and your Steed a quick once over they assume it was just detecting the machinery of your drone because they can't see concealed weaponry.
