Both you and Legs need to give me an Etiquette or other social skill test.

When Legs tries to take his drone with the highly illegal LMG back from the grunts that have impounded it, they are definitely inclined towards telling him to fuck off. He's already leaving without being arrested. You expect they'd similarly be upset if you walked out of the Underground to head up to the van and walk back carrying an assault rifle.

There's nothing in the deal your getting that says you guys can flaunt illegal gear right in front of KE, but as long as you guys get at least 1 hit i'll say you can convince them that Athack said it was ok without having to get him involved. Trying to convince Athack will take some negotiations from Mr. White and could impact your pay for this new task.

The ADA and a Detective want some Shadowrunners to go into the Ork Underground to retrieve a dangerous felon, doing a favor for KE by potentially bringing this guy to them, and they want to make a stink about the Shadowrunners carrying weapons into the Ork Underground, after there was a mini-gang war at its entrance.

So basically, "Hey, can you help us out under the table? That'd be great. Hey - are those weapons legal...?"

I've got a great big fuck you sandwich for Knight Errant right here.

But seriously, my vote is that we're not going into the underground without serious gear, with or without Knight Errant's blessing. We will not help them out unless they help us out.

Also, did anyone else get hurt aside from Mr. White? I think I can manage that damage, I'll just try to stay out of the line of fire. Do we need anything before we head into the underground?

Slacker, Negotiation test is 9 dice, minus one for the wound. Any pluses for namedropping the KE Commander? Any pluses for the very fair and legit suggestion that we not wander into Mordor with a small fingernail file and some sharp toothpicks?

Athack rolled for crap, so you don't even need the extra dice from name dropping. He snears disgustedly at you and yells at you to get the hell out of his sight and take your crap with you. He does warn you that next time he sees you, he will be arresting anybody with illegal gear.

Looks like Dak got here ahead of me. Though I will say it fits in with KE's general SOP: "No, we're the only ones who get the good toys. To maintain proper law and order, of course. What? Violating civil rights? Sounds like someone's got somethin' to hide, we'd better investigate them."

Though I was kinda lookin' forward to trying to intimidate some weedy beat cop. Large, bloodied cybermerc with an assault rifle, just staring down the guy who got the shit draw of assignments out of the Academy.

Outside question, Slacker: how often do you refresh Edge?

Gardner will try to smooth things out a bit (mostly running damage control so that Athack doesn't decide he's better off just shooting us now and getting it over with).

But I would say, before we go running into the underground, think I could get a check in from everybody with how much damage you're all at?

I'll go 'round with some healing to patch people up. (As a note, I'm offering this to anyone who asks or looks injured) I'm assuming all the civilians were taken care of by DocWagon though.

So what I need from everyone is:
  • Damage sustained (Physical and Stun separately)
  • Essence Lost (either exact or round down the LOST essence, not current)
  • If you are awakened
  • If you have First Aid/Medicine and can Assist


Once I know what I'm up against I'll give us some rolls and see if we can't get patched up before we run into trouble in the Ork Underground

Oh, and from Slacker:

I just wanted to confirm the conditions I can find to patch us up real quick. If possible I'd like to ask to use an enclosed space, but I won't push it.

Unless you say we can find a nicer, cleaner spot, I'll assume we are functioning in "Street" conditions which gives a -2 on First Aid. Getting inside somewhere would only lighten it up to -1, so not a huge problem.

Unless you are leaving the Tourist highway area the best you're going to be able to find would be a mall bathroom or maybe the interior of Legs van if you all went back up there. Either way it's going to be Street conditions.

And yeah, I believe Mr. White is the only one who took any damage. Legs took some Matrix damage, but you can't heal that with first aid.
edit: Guess I forgot that Tundra Wolf got hit too.

The ork boy won't go anywhere unless he gets paid up front. You're welcome to pay him extra for a quick trip, but it's a minimum 100 nuyen per runner to start with.

Plus I got a couple of heavy hits that bruised me up something good (Stun only). With the First Aid skill I can heal both Stun and Physical, and I always use the skill first.

As for TW, .8 remaining essence means 5.2 essence lost. Now, I know that is a -5 on Spellcasting tests to Heal, that is pretty explicitly -1 per essence lost (round down). But what about for First Aid? The chart says -1 per 2 points of lost Essence. Does that mean, for every 2 full points lost? Basically do I take a -2 or -3 on First Aid tests...

Did you specify that he's from a gang that operates in the Ork Underground? Or at least an Ork or Troll Ganger? There are hundreds of gangs in Seattle and most have little to nothing to do with the Underground.

Feel free to roll for Judging Intentions with this kid if you are that scared to give him money. Or tell him goodbye. There are other ways to get to Pirate's Cove, this is just one option.
