I just realized that I never mentioned where my bag went. I think that I'll have to assume that it went with his coat and has been checked. This is a pretty sizable bag, particularly since it's sized for a giant. I could only find one listing for a bag of any sort when I was working through chummer, so I think it is technically one of those big hiker's bags with the internal framing and everything. I imagine for a meet in a club like this I would have transferred most of the stuff to a smaller shoulder bag and left the particularly bulky things (like his sleeping bag) at home...
So I guess my question is, would I be told to check my bag and/or would the coat check person refuse to take a bag (I guess my staff falls into that category too). Only reason I ask is because that's where my medkit is... so it might modify how well I end up doing something here in a little bit. |

Mr. White give me either a Negotiations or Con(Fast Talk) Roll and tell me what your strategy is in trying to get him to calm down.

Mr. White, is able to talk him down completely. Then Quixote steps in and negotiates the release of the girl and Max's surrender, though at that point he had already given up and it's more just Quixote talking smoothly as he eases the girl away from the shooter and then takes the gun away too.
If you'd like me to post IC, tell me what your strategy was in talking him down. Or feel free to post in IC if you prefer. |

My strategy was simply to calm him down and convince him that maybe there's some better options than shooting the hostage, or me.

Well done, gents. Though my bloodthirsty side is sad that TW didn't get to kill anyone. I've placated it with assurances that eventually someone will need to be shot in the face. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

Do you mean Gardner? I was trying to help calm him down, and I don't see any posts by taeksosin yet...
And I'll help out with disarming the situation, but I'll try and get to helping the guy who got shot asap. Is there any preference on my bag situation? Or should I leave it out for now and try and patch this guy up free-hand... >.< edit: nevermind, I see where he said in this thread that Quixote would help out... |

You've got big enough hands to put pressure on it. Though you might end up breaking his collarbone while you're at it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Yeah, was going to say, I hadn't quite caught up to the situation yet (dang classes). I'm going to assume at this point that it's Gardner, though if you say otherwise Slacker I'll IC it up.
Edit: Ahh...okay, I see what you did there Slacker. IC incoming. |

I guess it was Gardner who posted the negotiation roll and was closer. I'll post something in IC shortly. My computer accidentally shut down in the middle of me posting.

Like I said, Gardner's first priority is going to be making sure the guy who got shot is alright. So it'll work fine if Quixote steps up and aids in the defusing of the situation. Once Gardner sees that the situation is handled, he'll focus on the gunshot victim.

Well...suppose the question is do we wanna stick with the previous deal (Gardner patching up, Quix taking the gun and the girl) or should I go in and edit away my post?

Nah, I like your spin on things. I'm assuming that message is being sent to me? If anything, when passing around introductions, I would have probably told you Gary as my name.

MacCallister, doesn't have a recent photo of Fiona though the does pull up an AR image of her that he says is from when she was in college. She appears to be on some sort of arceology dig in the Salish wilderness. Not the best of images of her, but he offers to send you a copy anyway.
He literally has no other information. He does not know what her business was or any known associates. Before flying in she had made arrangements to meet with his client this morning, and she mentioned having some other meetings in town but gave no details. MacCallister's client knows her to be exceptionally prompt in all her deals. So when she didn't arrive this morning he grew concerned and immediately called MacCallister. He is offering you each 3000¥ for the job. |

Lol. I hate how little information Johnson's always have. Still, its the way the game goes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Should we try to haggle him up on pay for the job? Slacker, are we supposed to deliver her, or simply learn of her whereabouts? As for the looking, we can hit the airport and see if anyone saw her, or perhaps try a hacking method and see if we can check out surveillance video. At this point honestly we're just assuming that she even arrived here. We ought to confirm that, and then figure out where she went from the airport. Mr. White has contacts that he can call on, and we could also check hangouts and hotels near the airport if we get desperate for leads. Thoughts? |

You can always try to Negotiate for more money, especially given the excuse of how little information MacCallister is able to provide. Also, he's likely feeling generous towards the group of you for taking care of the gunman so quickly..... (meaning you get plus 2 dice on a Negotiations test if you want to talk up the price).
His client wants assurances that Fiona is safe. You don't have to hand deliver her, but you need to find out where she is and do everything you can to make sure she's unharmed. MacCallister does mention that she does not have any residence here. Nor does she own a car here. |

Totally haggling him up.
"That's not a lot of information to go on, it makes it more difficult, and honestly, more expensive for us. Maybe if we can discuss the payment we can work something out..." etc. Negotiation test- 9 dice plus 2 if I mention the mess in the club. 11D6E5 => 4 |

Mr. White and MacCallister seem to be on equal footing when it comes to Negotiations. He goes on and on about how Fiona has never been in any trouble and how it's likely she just hooked up with some guy at the airport bar while waiting for her cab. This is going to be a super easy run for you he claims.
Still, he owes you one with the Max Duggan thing. So he generously bumps it up to 3500nuyen each. ChromeZephyr it only describes it as a Guardian Spirit. But sure its a spirit of man. |

Hmm...hooray on the pay raise. As for the other bits/planning, think we'll need to hit the airport. Have White talk to folks (security guards, janitors, refreshment stand workers, etc?) with the picture of the girl. Myself, probably try to hack my way into the airport security system and either start running image recognition software (browse?) on the past footage on the fly, or try and download it all from the time her plane would've come in 1-2 hours after, depending on whether or not there were delays, etc. Methinks we're looking at a trip to the airport no matter what we do though.

Probably need you to hack our way through security too, what with TW's Forbidden combat cyberware if more than just Mr. White is going to the airport.

So, you do all agree to take the job? Nah. We're like "Screw this place. We thought we'd get to see a great concert, and instead the lousy security here let in some wanker who shot up the place. Totally ruined the show. Let's blow this joint, chummers." Or I suppose we could take the job. |
