When I type in the pass word I'm getting what appear to be random pieces of a picture. Too sleepy to be any help right now, but I bet we could put them together in some external program maybe that'll show us the password?

Huh.

So there's activity on 3 PLTGs, the RTG and the public LTG. What's more, there is the old grid hierarchy again. Huh!

On topic of the riddle, the road is laid out in an east-west direction I presume?

No puzzle beyond the grid one, lazy bastards. Ends without even a password box, too. Here's a list of this rounds inclusions.

This seems to conclude Sleeping with the Enemy, The Artful Dodger, and Cracks. That makes four complete stories - Eye of the Hurricane and those three.

I was surprised with the lack of further puzzles. That may mean that Storm Front is right behind the corner and there is no reason to stretch things

Collection updated as usual

Since Sleeping with the Enemy is now seemingly complete, paging Mr Goodman...

Choice bits this time: "information about Lofwyr’s and Alamais’ final battle", which might mean several things. Also, the UN invasion now got complemented with scary terrorists being evil for the sake of evilness...

Hm, not in your text, you only have vampire chauvinism (if dragons can do it and it works out so well for them why shouldn't we and all that), or that's what I took from it. Taking back the groan for now.

Also, is Hannibelle supposed to sound ... southern? Her voice's taken a southern drawl for me in my head reading this.

I'll cop to some vampires being chauvinistic, and some of them doing something about it. And I'm afraid I have to cop to 80s action flicks, as well.

But I don't think they're being evil for the sake of being evil. It's not outside the bounds of the possible that I'm biased, however. And that I know some things I haven't had the chance to reveal yet, though I'm working on that part.

I'm also, sadly, not above evil for the sake of evil in my writing; I just didn't think I'd done it in "Sleeping".

Gassing 187 (ba dum tss) people just for the heck of it, without political message or doomsday prediction or whatever, sure sounds like Hollywood evil-doers to me...

Anyway, you promised a rebuttal of my previous criticism, any chance I may get it now that (seemingly) the full story is spoiled?

I thought there was a message, and it was written on the wall. In blood.
Vampires in shadowrun, at least circa 4E, were a bit kawai. All they lacked was some glitter to be a wet girls dream (or is it girls wet dream? Nah, the first one was correct). Some group clearly sent a message that it was wrong to think so.

Dry dream. Because while the protagonist is desperate to sell her immortal soul to the devil for a boy, they never have anything like actual sex, or even actual longing (there's just a bit dry humping and a martial rape).

In a world where (meta)human beings react with indifference to monsters eating a major city, you need a few hundred dead to even make a simple point like "actually we're not *quite* as nice". Shadowrun turns more and more into Left Behind, but I've said that before.

They have a long way to go! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
On a serious note, I can see why people are giving a damn about these groups. Anyone can hardly do anything to a great dragon (we don't know yet for sure whether Sirrurg or Alamaise is dead), but infected are quite mortal. And for some 60 years they were a feral threat, now they switched to terrorism and something could and should be done about it.

An great was shot down in Germany in 2015ish. Shot down and dead. Barring the dragon-on-dragon kills, even, that still proves they are not some kind of unbeatable Godzilla. And even then, people get upset about earthquakes and volcanoes, wghich are a lot harder to stop. But in case of Alamaise, it is brushed aside because whatever.

Ok. I'm flat out loving this stuff.

Hey Patrick, a question you probably CAN answer!!

Are we going to get all of this in a printed/buyable format? I.E. is it going to be in SR5, or a lead up book, or --something-- I can buy and hold in my Trollish fingers. Or is it 'You better be cutting and pasting it to a word file now, because that's it!" Type thing?

As a side note, this stuff is really good. I love the fluff and such for Shadowrun, the writing is very fun for these things. Some really interesting things going down. I'm enjoying the read immensely and am very much looking forward to more. Good work (( on what I've read so far)).

Well, I'm glad to hear that because everything I contributed to it, personally, has been "leaked" in these hidden stories (and folks can probably already guess which mini-chapters were mine). If you end up disliking it after you buy it, it'll be someone else's fault. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

As for when exactly Stormfront will be available, how much it's gonna cost, and that sort of thing -- I honestly can't say. It's safe to say (just from what's been "leaked" so far) that it's pretty much done (or at the least, folks can certainly assume it's very far in the production process), but release schedules and final list prices and stuff are a few notches above the pay grade of a humble freelancer.
