Fair enough. Just saying that is an option depending on if it something your character would do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yes. Absolutely. ...but only if you plan on never seeing us again, if there's any accountability that really hampers my "Sell all your stuff" plan. (Plan A)

...back to the planning though, as I understand it that's exactly right.

...but now that I've mentioned it, how strong does this separate winch assembly look? Does it say the weight rating? (Of the winch, not the microwire!) If it's 200lbs or more, we could shoot the target and drag him to our building after Mr White rufies him. ...just throwin' that out there.

Unrelated, my thing got extended. I will have internet access Thursday, and then be (most likely) out of contact until Sunday evening. Sorry. D:

Ummm .. are we ALL going across this line to the other side ?

how the hell heavy is Gardner ? no offense if he is just big boned ! but how big is "Giant" ? 3M ? 4M ?

and sod the winch, what's the strength of the anchor on the grapple ?
(the rope is usually able to hold heavy stuff)

but we may have to adjust the plan to someone having to anchor the rope better on the other side so that the team can follow.

The description of the winch says it can pull "small objects". I wouldn't say it's enough to drag the target anywhere.

The line itself can hold 2000kg, and for simplicity's sake we'll say the grapple can hold the same. I'm pretty sure it can hold the group of you even with how much Gardner weighs.

One question though...what order are you guys planning to slide down that zip line? If you're planning to all reach the other side and wait to drop to the balcony when the time is right, that means you'll potentially be slamming into each other, especially if somebody fails their skill test to slow down. That might hurt a little were Gardner to be the last one on the line.

game of "Rock, paper, Panther Assault Cannon" to be the last across ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

in other news we have enough rope to drop a line on Our current side of the building as well .. for anyone wanting to wait over here and cover our arses

I'm going to ask that you drop the line on our side of the building as, although it's going to suck balls, Needle may need to evacuate quickly enough to get the bus in position when you guys are ready.

BTW, Mr. White I'm handwaiving that the ticket your contact sent you temporarily altered your commlink's bio info to reflect the name on the ticket.

I know commlink security issues were something you were concerned about after the last run and didn't want it to look like i was trying to take advantage of you not knowing all the ins and outs of the Matrix.

IC Mr. White has reached the point where you guys have about 6 minutes left on the clock.

At what point where you going to shoot the grapple across and start heading over? Has the grapple already gone across? Are you waiting for Mr. White to arrive at the banquet?

Not yet.

At what point where you going to shoot the grapple across and start heading over?

Silas had some questions in IC for other folks, which you have answered about weights and stuff.

I have setup a drop line on our side if I can find a suitable anchor point.
do you require a skill roll of any kind ?

Are you waiting for Mr. White to arrive at the banquet?

I beleive we will shoot NOW, given the information .. depending on the skill for grappling I may not be the best shot (Rifles for example)

Silas will be the first across though, and will climb off the zip line to securely anchor the drop line on the balcony.
so the bag of goodies will be going with me..
he will activate his Ruthenium armor and I believe we have some magical cover as well. ?

You have no difficulty finding something stable to anchor the line too. the roof has heavy A/C units setup here, as well as the structure housing the stairs that provided roof access, etc. And I'm not going to require a skill test.

Grapple Gun uses the Exotic Weapon Skill. I'm going to say you automatically hit the building. So no worries there. But how well you roll will determine the location of the anchor and a glitch could warrant somebody noticing the noise of it embedding into the building.

Default to Agility ? does our in-house weapon specialist speak up ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) otherwise I'll roll it

Yes, it does default to Agility, and you are welcome to use Edge if you want.

Ok, so I'll suit up as I'm waiting for the sniper to get back into signal range. When I've suited up, I'll get the command for the bus ready to have it meet us in directly below our current location. I'm not sending the command yet, just getting it ready so all it will require is a simple keystroke to send it.

And I just had an amazing thought on what I'm going to do here. Assuming I can pull off what I'm thinking (sorry, Slacker, but I'm keeping this a little quiet until it's time), this is going to be amazing.

Edge is for wimps and those who lack the courage of their convictions ... OR ... those who really should look before they leap

Thank you!

Gang, White is going to try to lure our target out on the balcony. Easier for everyone. If he can pull that off, great, action time! If the target is not willing to go outside, or worse - becomes suspicious- White will press a button on his comlink in his pocket that will be the GO NOW signal. Cool?

You have absolutely no problems hitting exactly where you want. The grapple buries itself into a seem in the buildings structure with hardly a sound. The only evidence it below is a tiny bit of dust that is shortly whisked away by the wind.

Wait, your thinking about the weapon specialist shooting when your defaulting dice pool is 8??. Good lord, man. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I think the ideal set up for going across would be Gardner/Silas/TW/Eclipse. That way the heaviest/biggest people go in first to avoid any unnecessary squishing in case of glitching. We'll need to be overhead of the balcony at least 30 seconds ahead of time, I would think.

And I think Mr. White has the right plan for getting him out.

I'll call up my bound earth spirit to use guard on people if they aren't sure of their climbing skills. I agree with zephyr's order, although Gardner will let Silas go first if he insists.

Also, people can stay behind and go down the line on this side if they are really unsure.

I would suggest using the rope for Needle, if you're nervous about sliding down a rope, as what makes jumping with a parachute better? Again, I can have a spirit help make sure you don't glitch and fall.

Finally, because I don't want us caught with our pants down, I am counterspelling on the team. When Mr. White comes back in view I'll cover him too, unless I specifically don't have the free action to spare...

I've updated the image I created of the city layout with a current day google maps image if anybody wants to take a look: Cityscape
I'll work on a better drawing for the actual banquet hall and balcony as soon as I can.
