Aura Sifting
Prerequisite: Psychometry The initiate learns to sift through the auras of living things, gaining additional insight thereby. The mage adds his or her initiate grade to all Assensing tests. Simple, and probably situational, but I think it would make a lot of sense for a face or investigator type. |

I like it. At first glance it looked a little powerful (it becomes pretty easy for a grade 2 or 3 initiate to max out their assensing test), but then this does take two metamagic feats...so I'd say go for it.

And don't forget, there are several Metamagic feats that directly oppose this roll, so the target for "maxing" shifts as well. |

I've felt a metamagic like this has been needed actually. Masking quickly became an I win button on the assensing side of things since assensing didn't have a dice pool booster on its side. I'd like trained security mages to have a chance in hell of seeing past your masking wihout having to design some bizarre twink build, of Owl totem and level 2 perceptive etc.
