Not sure if you played it yet, but I would like to recommend the Polish pen&paper RPG called Wolsung. It's got all the five standard races of Shadowrun, although served a bit differently (for example, the orcs are spiritual and with an Oriental bent), and three other standard ones (gnomes, halflings and ogres), and surprisingly sensible mechanics for a Polish game (in Polish RPGs, the mechanics are usually half-assed, broken and nonfunctional, and everyone ignores it anyway). Two highlights of the mechanics are how "boss fights" are resolved (persuasion, fight and chase use the same mechanics and rely on teamwork a lot) and achievements: if you did something spectacular during a session, you get a bonus for similar situations in the future (they also serve as a level system of sorts).
