Man, my lack of military background really shows, doesn't it? I don't know any of the terminology or procedures. Can't throw around cool terms like "No-LOSS-Mike" and such...

LOL the only military terms I know are NAAFI and the 7P's the rest is liberal use of Google-Fu (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Yes, I am a GM and I admit I "make shit up!" you're doing a good job of it then - had me believing you and everything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
quick clarification question - on your (super-amazing-awesome) map, on the northern point of the Island is a tag saying "Team insertion". This was the location of the last runner team insertion, right? Not where our current team(s) are supposed to be inserted? (god I feel weird saying that word so many times!) |

Hammer & Estevez teams will be going in from the insertion point at the north, Team Ricoh will be taking the ferry from the south the Runners last position is marked "Runners" just above the ferry once that area is secured and investigated, Team Ricoh will move further north towards Vashon corp HQ and provide cover while Hammer & Estevez teams infiltrate and "clean up" the operation. These parameters may change given circumstances beyond your control, but is the basis of the Op *****EDIT**** the Ferry is a full Vehicle ferry for 50+ Cars/trucks etc. |

"I still don't really get this... is this some sort of trial run? It looks real enough, " Apologies, I don't think my initial IC was overly clear, I'll re-state the situation and hope to make it more fun for you all : Zermax is looking for new hires from a selection of recommended potentials (ex military, ex runners looking for a regular paycheck.. etc.) to that end they run events like this to narrow down the selection by scoring criteria (They have 10 Limited spaces from the 15 or so applicants) THIS day is different, they are combining the trial with a REAL TIME operation that has been bungled, to see how you operate under pressure. so yes, its real AND a trial run, possibly not what you signed up for, but the offer to leave has been given (I assumed you want to stay cause I don't have another way to get you involved otherwise, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) Scoring criteria, you imagine (the real is kept secret though a leaderboard has been made available in AR and Crispy has found it.) Showing Initiative Following orders Preparedness Loyalty Courage under fire Dedication to completing the job. There's probably a lot more but this is the usual fluff and nonsense that you expect to apply at interview. Does that help ? ***EDIT*** META - you are completely correct in that you would dearly like to trust the other teams, but YES it is competitive, so expect anything can happen |

Yup, a quick Matrix search turns up the ferry timetable and it does leave every hour on the hour. 24 hours a day arriving in 22 minutes with an 8 minute turn around for 50 vehicles and walk on passengers. let me know who you want to call and IC it up when you feel comfortable. Note: the other teams aer now prepped and relaxing a little in the time before GO, if you want to speak to anyone then you have a window. I'll give you creative License for the other ten guys too, go crazy with the conversations if you wish |

Before the events of the previous Bogota game, yeah. I had Crispy share some background with Hammer from before the game started though, where they had been in Bogota before on some mission or another...although now I'm doubting my memory, I'm trying to find where I wrote that history...Hmmmm....
*edit* found it, starting at post 6 - not important, just verifying to myself that I'm not crazy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Before the events of the previous Bogota game, yeah. I had Crispy share some background with Hammer from before the game started though, and Hammer spent a small fortune on therapy and BTL's to get over the experience where they had been in Bogota before on some mission or another...although now I'm doubting my memory We can neither confirm nor deny any involvement in operations in Bogotá, the operative in question is currently MIA *edit* found it, - not important, just verifying to myself that I'm not crazy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) keep telling yourself that, it's everyone else that's crzy .. honest |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) keep telling yourself that, it's everyone else that's crzy .. honest You're not crazy if you're hearing voices in your head, you're only crazy when you start answering them...

a fair point - maybe we want to hide and camo the humvee once we're on the island, and proceed on foot?
Although the fact that the ferry brings vehicles over leads me to believe that unless we bring the humvee into a restricted area, it won't be noticed so much. So once on the island, we drive until we find that it's not practical? |

I assume we have shared brief descriptions of our skill sets by now I think Crispy, Longshot and Nova sorta did. Dakka's been missing so I guess in-game we might not have a grasp of what his character can do. I'm meta-gaming a little in my post, in that I remember from another game that Brian's got some social skills. |

At least I do have the Influence skill group... not very good, but at least no unskilled penalties, if required. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Nova will cast Increase Charisma on herself (and sustain it via Sustaining Focus), followed by Increase Intuition (sustained with the other Sustaining Focus).
Increase Charisma 5 -> 5 hits, no Drain Increase Intuition 5 -> 2 hits, no Drain Casting the latter again, if time permits... but combat turns go by really fast, so it shouldn't be a problem. Increase Intuition 5 -> 5 hits, no Drain Bye Thanee |
