TOC, p. 2: "USING GYMNASTICS" and a few others are in all caps, whereas most of the headings at that indentation level are not
p 225: "which icons are devices, which are personae...", the accepted plural seems to be "personas"

In preview 6,

In the table of content, there is no entry for "spirit" in the critters chapiter.

Nevertheless, I don't know if it's a typo or if the spirit description was moved to the conjuring chapiter...

Are you kidding me? I barely had room for dragons....

BTW, I want to thank Patrick, Bull, Aaron and Critias (and anyone else affiliated with SR) for answering questions and participating in the forums. Your great patience, understanding and emotional stamina is most impressive. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Not actual rule/spelling error but the last two huge horizontal scenery images of the PDF is really messing up some PDF readers like Preview in OS X.

This makes all other pages to scale down to really tiny size. I can naturally zoom in but that is just dump. Documents like these really should pick a page size and stick to it. Putting different sized pages is really bad layout decision unless you want to piss off your reader. Some PDF-readers will get around this but not all. I was able to remove the last pages with PDF editor program which is really the only way to fix the PDF.

Please fix the layout issue. Remove the last pages (and publish them separately) or at least rotate them and choose the same width as the other pages.

As mentioned in the other thread, our best guess is this is some sort of formatting error, an earlier version being released on accident, etc, etc. I've emailed and PM'ed folks about the problems with this DTRPG pdf, to let 'em know, and I'm sure once folks wake up some kind of ball will start rollin'. I let 'em know about the images in the back and the bookmarks thing.

Our layout guy loves doing layout too much, I can't imagine a non-bookmarked copy being our "final," y'know? Several of the reviewers commented about how nice the bookmarks were on their pdf copies, so this just has to be some kind of screw-up. It'll get fixed.

Ok, thanks for your reply (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'm sure you guys are doing your best and so is the layout guy. These things happen (I should know, I write a lot of stuff). Great layout otherwise. The last pages are an issue and I second the PDF TOC as well. They are really handy.

I got my copy of the PDF from DriveThruRPG if this makes any difference.

Magic Chapter, p314, under Manifesting, the mention of the Materialization power of spirits references Pg 314 rather than Pg398 for the description of the Materilization Critter Power.

Does the Combat Mage Archetype say Human but show a Troll in the Picture?
And the covert Op Specialist says Dorf but looks like Elf?

Page 65 :

"Trolls
receive Thermographic Vision, +1 Reach, and Dermal
Armor, but they also receive the disadvantage of having
to pay an additional fifty percent for gear because
everything—including cyberware and bioware—must
be specially modified to meet their massive physical
requirements."

Are we agreed that this was not intended to be in print?

This thread. I'm sure Patrick Goodman is keeping a more complete list, but that won't be publicly available until CGL decides to publish it.

Again, Page 94 :

"When a character factors in racial modifiers for gear
costs (trolls have a 50 percent gear and Lifestyle cost
increase, dwarfs have a 10 percent increase in gear
costs),"

Confirmed this and previous mention still in updated PDF.

Poked the folks in the chat, including Hardy and Bull, and got confirmation that the +50% cost on cyber and bio is unintentional.

QUOTE (cndblank @ Jul 11 2013, 10:11 PM) *
The first says one free specialization per skill at Character Creation (which at character creation helps a new character survive and helps define the character better.)

Page 129 Skill Types
New characters may only take one specialization per
skill at character creation (Creating a Shadowrunner,
p. 62), but you can buy more later. If you want a spe-
cialization in a skill, you have to have it first (meaning a
Rating of at least 1). Specializations are not allowed for
skill groups.

Did you leave of part of the quote here, because that atleast doesn't say what you claim it does.

For availability and prices of purchasing Fake

There are no prices, just a ratings chart.

So are Powerball, Manaball, and Stunball all suppose to have the same drain (F)?
The Touch and bolt versions all have the same drain.

I guess they got rid of the different drains depending on the type of spell being cast (like a Mana attack spell having less drain than a Power attack spell).

James

Living Persona —
Attack Charisma — 3 + ?
Data Processing Logic — 4 + Analytical Mind
Device Rating Resonance — Correct
Firewall Willpower — 3 + Natural hardening
Sleaze Intuition — 4 + ?

The numbers don't look like how they should based on the table on previous page and later.

i kinda don't believe that it's the fault of drive through RPG.
they don't decide which version to release do they?
they release what they get from CGL.
so if this is the wrong version, somebody gave them that.

Yes, actually, in this case DTRPG not only decided which version to release, but released it ahead of schedule. You're free to believe what you want (and I don't doubt that you'll default to "not the CGL guys"), but from everything I've been told, what happened was a slip-up on the DTRPG side of things. It's not the end of the world, and I'm not gonna say stuff like "those DTRPG guys can't find their own assholes" and stuff like that, but...yeah. That's what happened.

Now can this sub-thread be dropped, so people can focus on the errata doc?

The Sample Decker (page 121) has no Matrix Initiative listed.

On page 414, regarding Addiction Tests, the book states:

QUOTE
Every time you use an addictive substance during (11-Addiction rating) weeks in a row, you need to make an Addiction test...substances with high Addiction ratings (like Kamikaze) could get you hooked in a single dose

The problem is that Kamikaze has an addition rating of 9, and 11-9=2. So you'd have to use Kamikaze at least twice (once per week, two weeks in a row) in order to even get to the point where you'd make an Addiction test, let alone fail one.

The rules list the roll for compiling and registering sprites as being limited by Level, and the roll for Summoning and Binding as being limited by Force. Is this intended?
