Sorry if I missed this burried somewhere... I've been away from the board trying to absorb the SR5 book.

What commands and requirements would there be to loop a camera video feed or to real-time edit that feed to remove your friends from the video?

I can't find any Matrix commands that seem to apply to this. Learning a new system can be time consuming.

Thanks.

Thanks SpellBinder. I missed that.

On a related note...

1. If a camera is subscribed to a Host (but not slaved), then the Edit action would apply to the device?

2. If a camera is slaved to a Host, then the hacker would have to enter the Host, find the file then Edit it?

As far as I can tell, there's really no interaction with a host unless you're in it or a part of it. To hack a camera you'd have to either enter its Host -- by and large anything that's part of the host and not in an archive is easy to spot -- and then Edit File, or create your own direct connection to the camera by wire (stand right next to it).

you can also try to hack the camera directly even if it is slaved, but you go up against the host's attributes for defense instead of the cameras. however, you don't have to go into the host if you do that, which presumably should mean that you don't have to worry about the host's IC and such.

so yeah, there are a few ways you could do it i think.
