It says that your control rig rating is added to your vehicle's speed when you jump in.
Does this really mean that a speed 3 (walk 20 run 40) vehicle in the hands of a high-end rigger becomes speed 6 (walk 160 run 320)? Or am I making a mistake (hardly my first tonight)?

You are correct, that's what the rules say.

Whether or not it should be that way is a topic brought up a few times.

I think it adds to the Speed limit (hee hee) for Vehicle Tests, but doesn't actually increase the speed of the vehicle. There's a quality that lets you speed up your vehicle, I think.

You can also get a similar boost to speed by painting it red, cuz red makes tings go fastez. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

And go-faster stripes.

Come to think of it, you can put go-faster stripes on adepts, too. Except that they'd actually work if you get the right kind.

True, but the big babies scream when we use the acid etch paints (makes it last longer).

Also useful for tats for your shapeshifter since normal inks tend to get absorbed and lost.

Cutter nanites also work pretty well, just be careful with their programming.

But Bull ruled that any action affecting the target or causing a roll constitutes an attack and I was possibly taking Pun Damage. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
