If I were a corp (or devious human resources head), I'd play up the idea that natural vision will eventually get worse, but cybereyes can always be fixed. And I'd tie in a 'freebie replacement' benefit for a loyal servant of the corp, and wrap it into their 'free corp healthcare' for both the initial and future replacements. Plus other apps that as a corp, don't really cost me anything to offer/provide. It costs a pssh...normal...person 4000 bucks, but as a loyal slave...servant...of the machinelor....um...corps, you get it for free!

Course, as your corpmaster I can turn it on and off at will. I can track you through them. I can add some other features without telling you during your next 'upgrade/maintenance'. etc etc etc

And as a Hacker/Biotech, I'd be more than happy to offer my services on an individual-service or contract-basis to maintain them, jailbroken, while preventing the corps from earning the barest penny off of them.
