So, I was wondering if anyone has started a community level update to the various Street Magic (4th) totems to SR5 standards?

If not, shall we start one here? Who knows, maybe it can get incorporated into the 'real stuff' when the SR5 version of Street Magic comes out.

It's sad when I saw the title of the thread and the first thing I thought was 'What, Wolf got Fat?'

Because pudgy Totems are all the rage.....

But a more serious note, will have to dig out the books and see what we can come up with. Street Magic had quite a few good ones to convert.

this is so simple, not even worth the effort ^^ Can be done on a case by case bases and no GM will ever disagree. just add 0.5 worth of adept powers to them.

Oak
All: +2 Arcana tests
Magician: +2 Plant Spirits
Adept: one free level of Mystic Armor

ok, those with dice penalties need light reworking

SR3 totems on the other hand might be more interesting.

Cheetah
All: +2 Running test
Magician: +2 Combat Spells or Beast Spirits (choose one)
Adept: Wall Running OR two free levels of Attribute Boost (Strength) OR Improved Ability (Running9 OR Improved Potential (Physical) OR Killing Hands
Drawback: Must have Reaction 4. Must succeed in a Composure (3) test to choose a subtle, more complicated approach on any given task.

Friends must succeed in a Willpower + Charisma (3) test NOT to ask you to run every small errand, like getting the pizza from the take away down the street. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
