Ok, I've looked and looked but I can't seem to find where it says you need a deltaware facility to get deltaware implanted any more. Is finding someone with the tools to do the job part of the increased availability?

Is finding someone with the tools to do the job part of the increased availability? Generally speaking, the cost/availability of cyberware has always included implantation. Abstract-wise, it appears that the increased availability covers it. Also note that some things at delta grade, like Wired Reflexes 3 (28R) or Titanium Bone Lacing (24R) or Skillwires 6 (32), might be beyond the realm of feasibility even if you can match the price tag. The worst culprit I've found would be Damage Compensators 12, at 44F, assuming you can have delta cultured bioware. |

I was unable to find anything either and honestly, it doesn't make much sense. I understand that the increased cost can be construed as a way to cover this in a sort of abstract/rules-simplification way. I wonder what they use those deltaware facilities for now that Street Docs can implant them? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

It feels like a case of the devs assuming the players having previous experience with the game as well as the concept of delta clinics versus the normal street docs, hence the lack of defining this better.

Honestly I don't recall any rules on actually finding Delta clinics in 4th or 3rd. I would say that part of the insane avaliblities is finding the clinic.

Page 44 of Cybertechnology talks very briefly about delta clinics, with locations of 5 such clinics and their masters on pg 69.
Basically it's not something you can find so much as the corp/controlling interest backing the clinic decides to let you in. It was more GM fief than any sort of an availability roll. |

AFB but I know there are rules on finding a Delta clinic and the availability/costs for implantation in Man & Machine (3rd ed).
