Looking to start up an SR5 game. Looking for 5 party members, all experience levels welcome.

You will be starting in Seattle as new recruites to the Johnson known as Mr. B. He is a black human who apears to have heavy cyber modifications, including his entire right arm. Word is he use to be in your shoes, doing dirty jobs for nuyen. Well typically you either die, retire, or move on to a managment position. He's got the know how, and apparently the rep to be a proffesional Johnson.

As I said this is SR5, and will have standard rules for character creation. I tend to lean more towards the black trench coat style of game play. But hey, go with what you want, I'm flexible. I also will want some sort of back ground to understand your character's motivation and for plot hooks at a latter date. Remember, you are the hero of your own story. I will also be using invisible castle for dice rolling. Please check it out if you are not familiar with it.

I'll post more latter on about how I want post to be structured and what not.

I'm in. I'm pretty easygoing about character types. I'm thinking it would be fun to play a rigger, but if something else would fit the team better, I'm flexible.

I would like to join you.
If you have spot open still please count me in.

I would be interested in playing the bounty hunter/merc/street samurai type.

I am interested if you have a spot. I would like to be a mage as I normally don't get a chance to play one - but if not no problem.

I'm interested. Thinking about an ex corporate network security specialist (ex-spider), not necessarily mega corp.

Sweet, my rulebook finally shipped, so I can make a character more easily. (I like digital, but for some things, print is still better. Flipping around quickly is one of those things.)

My Dwarf's name is John Deckard, he goes by Deckard on the street.
Deckard is a ex-mercenary who became a Private investigator/Bounty hunter.

Do me a favor and use the /spoiler tags to hide your character sheets. It will make it far easier for me to scan through material and reference things.

other than that it looks good. I got the next few days off so I will take a look a bit deeper into the character sheets. I like the non-magic, non-cyber, low edge approach. Its a bold move.

I didn't want to twink or munchkin out this go around.
Always loved the movie Bladerunner... so thought this would be good to play.

I have some really nice 5th edition sheets that are pdf's you can fill in.

so quick question, did any of your characters want to already know each other? not a big issue if you don't. Just curious.

I can go with whatever helps your plot along (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Deckard and I share similar backgrounds (in that we both lost a close group of friends - although in Switch's case it was his own fault) - so I can see us both sort of commiserating there - on the other hand, I'm not sure that we would be hanging in the same circles, given that Deckard is a homeowner, while Switch is literally going to get kicked out of his apartment for lack of rent money this month if he doesn't get a job soon.

Similar with Zap, unless you want to say we've been on runs before, I don't see the two of us being the same circles.

However, as I said, I'm happy to go along with whatever fits your storyline better.

I would say Deckard hangs out at bars and seedy haunts and drink the booze in his down time.
In the back of my mind I guess I picture Deckard having spent his savings and is low on money now... he drinks a lot more then he should, and hangs out at bars and other locals when not hired for a job or bringing in a bounty.
He has tried for the past few years to make ends meet as a private investigator/bounty hunter, but with the money low he resorted to fake licenses and running the shadows more often, having made friends with a local fixer.
Deckard is just waiting for that big score, the right job to bring in the big pay day.

If anyone has done any merc/gang related stuff or maybe small connection with law enforcement and bounty hunting I would say they may know or have heard of Deckard.
I would not mind knowing someone and being friends... maybe having met at the local bars and hangouts, I would change my background and story to fit in with anything.
Just let me know.

Quick question, what year is it? I was going on 2072 but is it 2075 or 2077 now? Would like to know so I can establish my age and time spent doing what with my background.

Zap may have worked with one or two before, but probably not on anything major. She is relatively new to the shadows, having worked the other side of the aisle before her accident. Her true downtime is spent either enjoying various matrix games or attending 'rock' clubs. She drinks, but only lightly.
