I don't find anything saying a normal Adept can't take it and use it. I could have sworn this was the case, though. Anyone got the relevant rule?

SR4a, page 122: "Unless otherwise noted in the description, only characters with the Magician or Mystic Adept quality and a Magic attribute of 1 or greater may take or use Magic skills."
