I have encountered this before. <CTRL><R> to reload the browser. I'm not sure why this occurs, but I think it is an environmental condition to the network and proxies/cache-engine running on it.

Hmm, seems you might be right, as it works on my smartphone. But ctrl+r did not help my computer and i am not using a proxy either.

hmm, seem to have found the culprit . .
"Hola Better Internet" addon for chrome to get youtube to unlock videos for me that i can't usually watch in germany and also improve loading times because my ISP sucks . .
For some reason, it decided to fuck with my connection to dumpshock, even though i had switched it back to telling the interwebs that i am in germany <.<

I've found Squid servers and other firewall filtering proxies in place on networks that I thought was a straight connection.

If i find a Proxy in this network, i have much bigger problems.
Because i set this network up and i did not implement a proxy.
Granted, that add-on works as a proxy or something i guess.
Which is why your comment was helpfull, because it made me
check that thing and it turned out to be responsible, despite it
being inactive when the problem still occured <.<
