Anna grinned gingerly at bnc, her skin had a certain blush of well rested and freshly showered. "Nice to see you in such a good mood sweet-lips." She did not respond right away but rather thought about it for a moment. "I think that meeting Kynos should roughly go as planned. We should plan it in a manner that fits my story, and we need to decide exactly which story I am telling him. Greed is good motive - am I Eve trying to make an extra buck? Am I someone he did not met and hope that he was not all that looking at me when I hanged out with Zola? The next question after we establish who I am is exactly how I acquired that information. I can just improvise - but the leading motive of this job is planning so I am open to suggestions."

It was a bit painful to hear that, given Anna's extensive fashion knowledge and talent with cosmetics, though she decided to go with that assumption "So Eve the call girl, sends Kynos a message, asking to meet with him about business?

"You should pick up the cover story. I don't want to take all of the 'fun out of" an incredibly dangerous mission that could end with all of us dead or in hiding the rest of our lives if something goes wrong.

She chuckled "I know people that died for much less than robbing a bank. As for hiding, I hope it'll be alright.

I'll come with my previous SIN as Anna. I've been using it for a while so it is reliable, and I am unlikely to continue using it in the future.
Anna may be a bit of a risk taker, and fun loving student - but she lacks the background to go rob a bank with you guys. These kinds of connections came from a previous identity as Yael. Life feels like an onion, I do not need to lie - just not tell the entire truth.

Does that makes sense?"

"Goddamn, Anna! Can you please stop fucking around? Listen, this is not going to be fun. It is not supposed to be fun, and if you ever feel fun during the heist, I'll make sure to fart into your face if it helps you have less fun and more focus. This is not a playground, but a real, tough and very, very dangerous heist. I know you want to show off how much you enjoy being a gangster and all that, but can you please try and be as serious as the professional shadowrunner you are for the moment? Jeez!"

"Let's find out.
Why would Anna know of the evidence we have?
What would Anna gain from sharing the information?
How would Anna find out about Kynos?
Why would she pick him out of all possible choices?
Why would he not simply geek the chick, rape her corpse, and take the blood money for himself?"

bnc leans back, closely watching Yael's reaction.

Anna listened to bnc saying her piece and then said "You seriously cannot imagine any other intelligence than your own can you? Do you bowl? Have you seen great bowlers? Does it look like they are capable of calculating how to approach the pins to maximize the chances of a stirke? Even if you can do that, can you execute a throw so accurately that you get a strike? How come a fat, uneducated bum can bowl better than a brainiac genius decker?

I don't think about stuff, I do stuff. This is how I run a conversation, this is how I do everything.. The world is chaos, impossible to control and impossible to predict. Sure planning has many good aspects, you get better and better in a single scenario. It also has some glaring drawbacks as your mind gets fixated on that specific scenario. Now I respect that planning helps, but I am at my best when I am not consciously thinking about all the details, I just flow, do act. If you keep talking to me like an idiot then the only way that skinny ass of yours is getting near my face is if you actually manage to grapple me. Though, you swing like a girl so that is not going to happen. Second, despite being such a brainiac you did not provide any better solution than my own. Now, I would be a professional and answer your questions - though you probably know all these answers by now. So I am just stating them to show that it is a serious suggestion.

1. How: Anna in her Eve alias dated Zola, she was intimate with him and had a chance to look through his stuff. She found the evidence and she is a promising young mage that can reach these deductions. Zola casted a spell in her presence, she might have identified the tradition.

2. Why - First and foremost, Anna is desperate for cash. Look at her, she is a party animal, a risk taker. Always wearing the latest fashion, drinking the best alcohol. Getting drunk, sleeping around. These things are expensive as hell - and there are tuition and rent. Her credit history sucks so she can't take a student loan. She needs to earn that cash - so when the reckless Anna noticed that her date was a Blood mage her fingers got sticky - she saw the possibility for profit and decided to take a risk.

3. Why Kynos? She was with him, she saw the social dynamics, felt the tension. Saw that Kynos is massively augmented, that the other guy was an adept, perhaps she could even finger him as a Blood adept. When she acquired the note during the date, she guessed it was about Kynos. So without fact-checking, she decides to approach him not knowing that he is such a sociopath and a dangerous showrunner. She is just an overconfident mage student that is desperate for money.

4. Finally, Kynos would not assault Anna because she is a mage of unknown power. He does not know exactly what her magical prowers are and trying to geek her might backfire. She is not helpless, so Kynos would need a good reason to actually kill her. He might scare her into staying silent and dropping this reckless adventure. She might be intimidated figuring she is way out of her league and leave. Man seems like a scary guy - perhaps she should be intimidated. Another option is that Kynos would ask her to be involved in whatever he plans to do with the information. Even then, he would not know what to do right away. He'll need to think over it, process it decide if he believes it and so forth. One way or another, Kynos would not be able to ignore the notes, and he already is already in bad relations with his employers. So even if he intimidates Anna into backing off, this meeting would still fire his suspicion and it is in his best interest to preserve his own life.

When I was with Zola, he hardly kept his cool around Kynos simply because he had this bored indifferent look during the music show. These people are about to explode without my help, I am only giving him a little push. Now, you just wanted to hear me reciting all these explanations didn't you? Any improvements? holes in my logic? inconsistencies in my story?
Something you think that Anna would not do? It makes perfect sense for me as much as I understand that my fun loving personality offends you."

Mike chimed in at the last point:
"Honey, I'm totally with you on all your points, except for the last one:
A street sam like that lives and dies by the rules of the street. And one of those rules clearly states: Kill the mage first. If that guy sees you as a threat for whatever reason, I pretty sure he'll shoot you first and ask no questions later. It's what I'd have done in my misspend youth.
If you want to meet him personally instead of just calling him, do it with caution and back up. I really wouldn't want you get hurt."

Anna laughed "GTMF... I grew up in the same streets, being the one to go for first, minus the actual ability to use my mojo. I cannot handle Kynos in a combat period, no point in threatening him. The gun may not be effective if he comes armored and has some armored augmentations and mojo won't change that. It is this kind of mentality that I trust would keep Kynos from pushing me to a corner or trying violence. He'll know that I am a mage, and may be dangerous - I hope it is enough, and I would not mind backup, but I want to look him in the eye when I deliver the note."

"I can try and hack his gun, if you want to. If I mess up, you're dead. If not, I might buy you a very, very precious second in which you can do some mojo.
Also, Mike's got an assload of burner links. Reg the SIN you wanna use to it, and you're ready to go. I can give you a hand, in case you never dunnit before."

Anna laughed "I doubt he'll keep it on wireless... I mean, whats the point of a gun, if you keep it open to people like you? "

She took a burner link from Mike, registered her Anna SIN in it and texted Kynos >> Kynos, Hi. I have some important information you would find very important, as well as business proposition for you. Can we meet?

Who, by the way, gave you this number.>>

Anna showed the response to the team, and then asked "Now where to meet a guy like that? Somewhere public that does not look like a crime scene and that he would not appear out of context... A shopping mall? A restoraunt? Perhaps at a supermarket? Something public enough - but not a professional Jhonson like. Someplace where it is awkward to shoot me, or where it is difficult to bring a gun.

She started editing the message... Showing her team and not sending it in just yet.
"I did some research, lets meet at the Wallmart store? When are you free? "

The answer came surprisingly fast: <<I'm going on duty at noon. I can meet you at the given coordinates in about half an hour.>>

And indeed, almost exactly half an hour later, the mercenary was loitering next to the exit of the large mega market. A glance into the matrix showed that only his commlink with his SIN is on display.
A search for hidden icons revealed there to be about 60within 100m.
He wore a wide coat that could conceal any amount of weaponry as well as a biker helmet under his arm, a duffel bag over his shoulder and his eyes hidden behind a pair of reflective shades.
