Torley just marvelled. Wow. I didn't have that kind of maturity at his age. Maybe never had it. Living in a Hellhole can affect people. Never figured it would do this to a kid.

O'Connor was glad Jai had made the smart choice, while also giving them a few more days together. He nodded to the kid, "You'll always have a place at my side. I got your back, no matter what."

Sammy was glad to be back in Seattle, but she hadn't missed the dreary weather. As she got a message on her link, she had a look at it.

Torley saw Sammy and O'Connor check their commlinks. So, he decided to do the same.

Jai lunged at O'Conner, giving the shadowrunner a fierce hug.

Frosty unabashedly shed some tears over the scene, then she begins walking towards the limo. A door opens for her, and she turns to say goodbye to you. “Thanks for your help with this. Man, it’s miserable out here, isn’t it? Well, I won’t keep you. You’ve got my number. I’ve got yours. Yada yada yada.” She flashes you that killer smile, then tosses the map into the limo. You realize there’s someone inside, sitting in the shadows.

“I’ll catch you guys later, eh?” Frosty says, as she slides into the limo.

From the shadows, you get an impression of a man, slender, his elven face cast in light and dark shadows … or you think he’s elven, although you’ve never seen an elf with age lines before. As the door closes, you hear a rich, deep voice murmur, “Really, my dear. ‘Yada yada yada?’ Who have you been listening to?”

O'Connor returned Lil' Homie's hug with equal ferocity. He looked over the banking statement. 20,000¥ for a week's work was none too shabby. There was the matter of splitting the retrieval bonus, "Since Clem and Snow got arrested and deported, an argument could be made that they've forfeited their share of the bonus. Seeing as how that fiasco was Torley's fault, however, I think they still should get a cut. I'm also of the opinion that Lil' Homie's earned a cut."

"Works for me," Sammy agreed with O'Connor, "and they can use that to pay a lawyer to get them out."
Of course, she still had some money from before they started this run, so she was okay at the moment.
"We might try to get another matrix expert," she added, "we were lucky that in Lagos it didn't really matter, but if we're going to work in Seattle, we should have someone who can keep us safe, loop cameras and other such stuff."

Torley makes a face as if to say, "What?"" "Yeah an even split is fine with me."

With the division of the bonus money easily agreed to, 8,333¥ was sent to each recipient. The spare 2¥ was put into the team fund. He reminded Starlet, "Luckily for them, lawyers won't be necessary. Last thing Frosty said about it was that they were kicked out of Nigeria, and she made the arrangements to get them back to Seattle."

With all matters of major consequence handled, there was only one minor issue remaining. He motioned to the duffels that had the tac gear and grenades they'd aquired, "Either of you want any of the left over grenades? We only ended up using five; three smoke, one tear gas, and one flash bang. That leaves thirty one left."

"I'm not really a grenade type of person," Sammy said, "but maybe a few smokes can be useful, if only to get away."

O'Connor turned over four of the remaining nine smoke grenades to Starlet, "If there isn't anything else, I'm gonna take off. Need to get Lil' Homie any missing necessities, and settled in. As Frosty said, you got my number. I got yours. Yada, yada, yada."

As Con walked away with Lil' Homie in tow, the phrase 'yada yada yada' kept bouncing around in his head. A memory hit him with a jolt, stopping him in his tracks. He turned and stared after the departing limo, "There's no way. It has to be a coincidence."

Torley sees the team members going their own way. He tosses out a casual comment as he does the same.

"I have some personal business to attend to. Might take a while. Keep safe."

Sammy put the grenades away so they wouldn't be immediately obvious.
"Same here," she said as she also headed home.

A little bird sat in the branches of a scraggly tree and watched Torley collect the map from the Dragon's lieutenant. It cocked it's head, then ... disappeared.
