Recently I went back to shadowrunmovie.com and looked at the version that was online since 2008. The heavily compressed Windows Media Video files didn't age well at all. Even though it was shot on old MiniDV, the source footage was 24fps progressive (24p) so there was a huge quality gap between the online file and the crisper DV footage. I opened the old project and using smart upscaling and redoing the VFX shots I got a new 1080p master. The movie is still a bunch of young chummers running around in trenchcoats and looking confused but it gets to be the definitive version 13 years after. Full film on Vimeo.
