To most people, the emblem and name would mean nothing; they're a tiny freak group, but worry the police. Back when she was still in the service, she got briefings about them. They're a splinter offshoot of Humanis, who are strongly pro magic, with added supremacy sprinkles. It's kind of like a wizkid gang taken in a specially ugly direction. HuangBilt is ostensibly a legitimate construction company, and a busy one. Officially, everything's above board. Chin-Ho Huang (to use the western order of family name last) owns that as well as a couple of other businesses.
Officially, nothing has ever been pinned on Chin-Ho, but there's every reason to believe that his organisations dance between the illegal, out in the barrens (chopshops, slumlording, loansharking) and the legal out in the bright lights. He has muscle and money and political pull. |

Off the top of my head, and without making any specific recommendations, here are directions that you could consider:
a) figure out something about assessing all people in that house in depth, including the visitor, compiling a more detailed report, and deciding on that basis what (if anything) to do about her, and the Children of Purity. b) move on from this location, and go hunt down someone in HuangBilt to extract answers regarding the assault in the diner c) start a heavy investigation into PoliDemos with a view to understanding their true motivations d) go back to the scene of the safehouse, and see what, if anything, is left in the (possibly still-smouldering) wreckage, after Mitsuhama's goons did their worst e) try to catch up with some prior co-workers and see what is up with Mitsuhama's new bioengineering activities. There are others, but I can see all these avenues as immediate prospects, depending on your tastes. |

Yeah, I'm happy with the Chin Lo investigation for now. I think Billy's niece should go on the back burner for the moment, though it is interesting to Blue.
So, in the short term tonight, why don't we: 1) get a message out to Karmakaze's police connection, 2) get a new burner for Blue, ditching the current one, 3) pass by the smouldering ruins to see if there is anything left of Madel (the hearth spirit), 4) get some answers from HuangBilt. Longer run, digging into PoliDemos seems worth some effort. Petsonal Petsonalities looks like it doesn't have much to offer. |

I think he was at the door when we arrived. We have plate numbers for the vehicles nearby, but I don't think we know which one is his. I'm hoping Karmakaze's police contacts can help her know which plates live here, and which one (I also hope only one) is not local.

pbangarth is right; you weren't there to see him arrive, in the sense of driving up. You spotted him has he stepped up to the door.
Shortcutting so that you can report results when they come in: You have plate numbers, and quite a few are out of the area, but none of them actually look like a good match for him. He might have taken a bus, or been dropped off, or a taxi ... the possibilities are large, but the certainties are small. That said, the officers are glad to add a description to a possible member of that weird little group. |
