Sounds like a good run to me. Steal it, or get it back.
The question is, who would want moon rock before the awakening.... |

Doesn't have to be before the awakening. Ares has a base on the moon, and I bet they make a good amount of money selling small moon rocks to scientists, museums, and collectors. Since the moon is basicly dead out in the mana storm of space, a GM might even have a powerful NPC research mage make a unique focus out of a moon rock that allows the user to negate penalties from background count. That would be a great hook for a run.

They're weird. Magicians stick weird things in foci. Tend to pay a lot for the really weird stuff. (An IC mundane's opinion, or is San acting silly after another night of no sleep? The world may never know...) (Makes me wish I had the sleep regulator like my IC counterpart.) |

Exotic enchanting materials, if your GM is being a real bastard. GM: Hmmm, you'll need exotic materials for this focus. PC: Damn. Let me roll here.... GM: Ooo! Moon rocks! PC: What? Fraggin' moon rocks?! GM: Moon rocks. |

EDIT: How many of you would shoot me on site if I made the Scooby-Doo cast into a 'running team? :spin: :wobble: :rotate: :twirl: :rotfl: :P |

Could be worse. I'm sure someone has done the "other" scoobies, replete with the Blonde Adept, Red-haired Wiccan, normal guy, and a 'good' vampire (and whoever else happened to be around for that series...). That would make me cry. |

Beast and I tried to make characters based on Inspector Gadget once. I was a heavily cybered private eye, he was a female otaku. But we really needed a third person to play the para-dog/wolf shapeshifter, because having a pet NPC dog just wasn't the same.
Anyway, Ares does have a moon base, so they probably sell moon rocks as a lucrative side business. Hell, if a moon rock the size of a raisin can fetch 5 million today, why the hell haven't we gone back to the moon? The mission could pay for itself. |

Hmmm... SR Scooby-doo...
Scooby simply must be Shaggy's ally spirit for that to work. |

Actually, the Artemis Society has done just such a business case analysis. Estimate price for a moon mission is $10 billion. Unforunately, the $5 million-per-rock market crashes after the first couple of dozen of them are sold at Sotheby's. After all, when all the billionaires have one, it's not so special anymore. They determined that they could probably only raise $500 million to $1 billion selling moon rocks. They're looking to advertisement and movie-rights to cover the rest. --K |
