Violent death can leave a long lasting imprint in the astral. Also, due to his Guidance Spirit, he can use divination to find out imprints in the deep astral

Not sure a painting is gonna survive being carried around at high velocity. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
QUOTE "And can a painting even survive winds of that speed during the return flight?" Looks like Mato had the same thought... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Bye Thanee |

Honestly, at Mach 5 nearly nothing but solid metal will surive. But a spirit can transport stuff protected inside its aura (engulf)

I think you managed to move faster than in the astral.
It makes me think about running and how strength actually makes less impact on it than initiative (well to a degree). |

Well, the big factors here are the kinda ridiculous Movement Power and the extreme Sprinting bonuses Air Spirits get (+10 per hit instead of +2).

QUOTE Outside the air spirit waited with the painting. Not to overcomplicate things, but I doubt the spirit is able to stay around that long (unfortunately). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Sundown is going to happen at some point. But Rachel should be able to summon a more normal spirit pretty easily, who can watch over the painting until the rest arrives. Bye Thanee |

Tien shook his head: "Unfortunately not. Though I would have welcomed one. Last Christmas I only received a Philipp Patek - and that one was delivered directly from the vendor." I am not one for luxury items in general, but I confess that I have an impractical desire for a Patek Philippe watch. |

Ok, here is one part that I had not realized until now... that accident actually happened down here? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Going back to the initial mentioning of it, it does mention the Aztlan border close to Texas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Bye Thanee |

Was there a listing of them? Have to go back to find the apartment description, I guess... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Rachel would probably chose one from how it looks on the astral (personal art, even if it has no aura, does have some emotional imprint, which reflects into the astral). Ah, now I recall... there was one about the Great Ghost Dance, right. QUOTE Several oil paintings decorate the walls - all of them seem to be from the recent 50 years and take on motives from the 6th world: The Great Ghost Dance, dragons in the sky, the horrors of the first arcology, a drug fuelled nightmare hellscape titled "Tempo" as well as the unmistakable Chicago crater, where Ares detonated an atomic bomb against the bugs. If there is no indication on the astral, which might have more emotional imprint from him, probably the "Tempo" one. Bye Thanee |

Yeah, there are a few other things that you didn't pick up on About the accident? The one thing, I noticed again, when re-reading it was this part: "Fire investigators were amazed that the car's battery cooked off so spectacularly" Let's repost the information AM dug up here for reference, as it might still be relevant... QUOTE The accident happened close to the Azlan border in Texas. The car drove of the road into an irrigation ditch, rolled over and caught fire. Victoria apparently was thrown out of the car, as she was found five meters away from the blaze. There was no obvious reason, why the car left the road, so it was deemed a driver error. No data could be retrieved from the wreckage. Fire investigators were amazed that the car's battery cooked off so spectacularly, but again, put it down to bad luck. Arione was admitted to a hospital close by, but checked herself out after a preliminary diagnosis that attested her perfect health. She declined a healing mage, citing that she was more than capable to administer her own health spells and had no interest in paying for unneeded services. There is a short mention of her visiting a few auctions for magical artifacts during the last year, but no record of her buying anything. Phillip has published a few papers on transformation magic, theorizing about where mass in- and decrease comes from in various magic spells. He proposes that mass is put in storage and retrieved from other physical metaplanes with the astral body acting as a bridge between them. There are no publications after Boston Lockdown. He completely fell off the map after that. His first interaction with the matrix was two years later when he bought a soylatte in Seattle. There are no records of him using his SIN to enter the city. I'm not going to argue about getting the drone into a vehicle, but just for reference here is how I see Toothless (Crashkart medidrone). It is a 'large' drone, so roughly human sized. But tracked and able to hit sustantial speeds (speed rating 4 IIRC), so I imagine more low-slung and long, built more like a tracked beetle than a metahuman. So I picture it something like like 1.5m long, maybe 50cm wide in the body with tracks sticking farther out to the sides, and height less than a meter from the ground. But all of those dimensions could be increased (wider for more stability and more leverage on the 'jaws of life', longer to be more like a lying down metahuman, taller to work on a broader variety of damaged vehicles).
Others may picture it differently? |

Just assume Tien got you two oversized pick-up trucks with off-road suspension.
Let's be definite: you have a GMC Armadillo and a Ford Percheron at your disposal |

Assuming you buy hits on your matrix search with teamwork:
The San Angelo hospital has 100 beds and belongs to Doc Waggon. They have no public records on the incident. But you find the name of the Doctor, who took care of the admission (Dr. Ian Itor) as well as the paramedics transporting Arione (Nelson Meyer and Juan Estevan) All are still working at the hospital and apparently on call tonight. The incident reports are most likely in the hospital host (A5S6D7F8) Easy access would likely be through a direct connection inside the hospital like one of the cleaning drones or the intelligent beds. |

Appreciate your friends & gaming group, II. One of my son's friends since 7th grade, and player in his Call of Cthulu campaign, died suddenly at his desk yesterday. He was just 25 years old. Our son is doing pretty well so far, but my wife and I are dealing with various forms of second hand grief. I'll be posting IC, but sorry if it is pretty basic for the next few days.
