I read it that AM might be giving into temptation.
Gilga, let us know! |

I still struggle with the phone, the bit about temptation was of the allure of the super power focus (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) She'll stay until after the show.

Oh she is there but crowded places make her paranoid. So it is quite possible that she does not keep up with Raven. AM would be up in the morning, and jog to Redmond.

It's about 8km between the Bellevue place and Cutty's gym.
Per the rules, AM can jog about 19km. Not my favorite rule, but such are the possibilities of Agility 8. It will take AM 25 minutes to get there. I suppose even faster if Trouble uses Movement, although that's not advisable without the Guard power so that you don't trip while running 100kph. Per p. 136, AM can run for (Body 6 + Running 1) * 10 = 70 minutes. Huh, never seen that rule before. Never needed it. Anyway, AM can make the run without any rest. Gilga, let me know what AM is wearing/carrying with her. Jogging through Redmond is still jogging through Redmond. Iktomi might have some thoughts, especially on April Fools' Day. Is 8:30am (the meet with the Rat & Tom) at the beginning or the end of the boxing lesson with Cutty? Jack, is Bobby tagging along in human or animal form? Beta, what's Tamarind up to on a Saturday morning? Thanee, I presume Raven is finding some brunch, but I'll leave it up to you. |

Bobby would accompany AM in dog form - that should help her out if she gains a bit too much attention.

I think she finishes at 8:30. 8km run seems like a warmup in her physical condition. She does not carry much on her body, comfortable sport clothes and an armored jacket which finally fits he, and her cyberdeck. . Leaving early to avoid scrutiny by the neighbors.

Honestly, the Zoé Second Skin is perfect for this. An armored jacket would be like running in a motorcycle jacket.
Jack, got it. |

Gilga, we posted at the same time.
Does Trouble have a specific strategy for looking for Tom & Rat? The basic description of the neighborhood was directed toward Tamarind's drones, but Trouble obviously has other tricks under his paw. |

Bobby has modded goggles with R6 - so basically the equivalent to a Transsys Avalon

Jack, for my future plans, can I confirm how you did the goggles? I think it was buy a piece of gear with a high rating level (like level 6 goggles), then use the "persona firmware" modification (page 66, Data Trails) to add the ability to run a persona. May not have all the usual 'link functions (camera, alarm clock, whatever) but when you can access the matrix you can just get programs to get most of that anyway.
(and nothing to add IC just yet. Tamarind will monitor for up to half an hour before trying to contact AM and Bobby) |

Correct.
I might add, that you can get electronic packs cheap by taking apart commlinks and tags |

There is a device called Faceless that can have a device rating of 10. (AVA of 20)
Longterm, that would be my favorite for a commlink as it has the added benefit of editing out your face of all surrounding video devices. |

Hi Jack, I'm drawing a blank in trying to think what book AVA would be?

Apologies for the delay. There's COVID in the vicinity. I'm fine but others in my orbit are not and I'm having to pick up their slack.
~~~ As for the goggles, I think we're blending two separate concepts: Rating and Device Rating. Unfortunately they use the same word; I wish one would be called "grade" or "rank" or something related. Things like contacts and goggles and bows have Ratings to signify where they are on the scale of such things, but this is not the same as Device Rating. Device Ratings are described on p. 234 and then repeated again on p. 421 of SR5. Most consumer electronics are going to have a Device Rating of 2, which means Data Processing 2 and Firewall 2. To gilga's point, bows go up to Rating 10, but we wouldn't say that they have Device Rating 10 (and thus Data Processing 10 and Firewall 10). Because it's a weapon, the bow would have a Device Rating of 2. Now we're obviously getting to the point where we have plenty of karma and plenty of money flying around, so saving a few nuyen isn't going to break anything. What I'm more concerned about is the "Hacking Economy" of the game world, namely that if we're doing this then so will everyone else. That will make AM's job considerably tougher, perhaps to the point where we don't like the implications. Let's keep it in mind so that it doesn't backfire on us. |
Given that we are in Bellevue here, Rachel probably has to have her commlink and SIN active, anyways, so no real point in using a fake name (without the appropriate SIN to cover it... maybe I should look into acquring one at some point, you never know how useful that could be). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
She would not invent working for some corp (i.e. Gaeatronics), though. Rather say something like "just doing some freelance work" or "I'm into fashion design", or something like that. Bye Thanee |
