This is the OOC thread. All rolls and game mechanics comments and questions should be posted here. Each time we switch scenes, please indicate in this thread what gear you are bringing with you. Nothing worse then trying to drone on for 15 lines in the IC thread to make sure the GM knows what gear you have. If you don't indicate a gear list each scene change, I will assume your gear list is the same.

No signatures in the IC thread. Breaks the flow. Standard formatting is to highlight team members names in bold. Helps people pick out references to themselves and keeps conversations flowing. Dialouge spoken outloud should use quotes (" "). Text in italics is assumed to be non-verbal or over comms.

I also stand ready.

My understanding is that Fenris ran into some technical difficulties with his internet connection this afternoon. He will get everything going tonight or tomorrow AM.

Is it safe to assume that since were a team we all got the same run? Diesel just gave Iblis a call and would like to know any and all information she has about the run espically if the yaks could be involved.

You roll them. Post your results and we keep going. There is an inherent honor system, which if Fenris believes you to be breaking he may revoke and roll all dice for you. Keep it fair and no one will care.

Edit: Example

Jake shoots BG1

Pistols 4 + 4 Combat Pool TN 5 (4 + movement)

04 05 11 07 01 03 08 03

4 Successes--Base power is 11M.

Fenris will then do the dodge and soak test as needed and give the appropriate flavor text.

So since we are a team small things you would know about Iblis. No calls before noon unless someone died. Not a morning person. She is fairly sarcastic and has a problem with saying what's she's thinking without a filter for content or timing. But if you're a friend then you know the biting comments are so much fluff. Her place has an open door policy. You always have a place to eat and crash. Only two rules. One - don't eat her food (always labeled with post-its) and Two - if you're bringing company (people trying to kill you, etc), call first. She shares a good sized house with Moe the team rigger and a BIG troll woman named Overkill who she calls OK. Oh, and she almost always gives everyone a new name, usually a nickname.

Hey All - Have we thought of a team karma pool? I am willing to toss a point in to seed the fund. What do you think?

Off hand, I do not have a spare karma to toss in right now. Spent every last drop and I'm pretty tapped out right now, karma and nuyen wise. Don't worry, I spent it on good causes...like initiation. Lots of initiation. :D

That aside, I have a question for Fenris. How much karma pool? As per standard rules? I decided to have 60 karma (after converting some cash to karma), thus I should have 7 karma pool, correct? (1 starting, plus 1 per 10 karma).

Also, Nameless is very low key. You usually have to call and leave messages for him (in case you didn't notice from Fenris's text) since he stays out of sight pretty much all the time. If he doesn't want you to know him, chances are you won't. He's friends with the team though, so he usually calls them back nearly immediately. Sometimes he even picks up. ;)

And he meditates at least once every 12 hours. Immediately before waking up, and immediately before going to sleep. Always. Always. Always. So he doesn't like being bothered during those times.

Finally, I noticed that Tsuru and Moe were not mentioned. Are they no longer playing with us or is it assumed that we as their team members will contact them?

Assuming Fenris isn't POd at me or anything, I'll totally throw in on the team karma. In fact, I throw in 2.

WinterRat...he's not talking about karma points, but rather karma pool. Team karma is when team members donate their karma pool to a group fund so that if one player is having a particularily off day, they have more karma available to them then standard. It's usually common courtasy to ask for permission to draw from the pool, but if it's needed it's there to help.

A good example of this is the fact that Moe may be off doing surveillance while the safehouse gets hit. Iblis takes a particularily deadly attack and doesn't have the karma available to reroll, so she uses from the team karma (in essence letting her use Moe's who isn't in need of it.)

That just represents the cohesion of the team in general and the fact that team members that are committed to each other are usually more effective/successful.

Also keep in mind cash for karma does NOT add to karma pool. So humans should have a karma pool of 6 and metahumans should have 4 (Fenris using a house rule that metas start with pool of 2). You track the converted karma separately. He is going to post intro threads after he gets character info. Since you sent Moe in the other night you should have an intro thread tonight.

As it stands now Moe, Iblis, and Jake have a team pool of at least 4 (1 from me, 2 from Moe, and at least 1 from Jake). Hey Medesha you want in? 8) Also do you have a pic for your character yet? McQuillan sent me one that I think might work. PM me with an addy and I'll bounce it to you.

Jake will kick over 2 pts. Brings the team to 5 and he has 5.

A bit about Jake: Central Italian by birth and heritage, he has the darker Mediterranean features and still carries a slightly European accent to his English. (Cross between England and Italy since his English instructor was from London.) 6'2" supermodel, he wears his hair to his waist in a loose braid and unless he's working he is almost wearing clothes that should appear on the Milan fashion strip some time next week. Fairly easy going, he protects his friends and himself with a vengeance streak a mile wide.

Ah, gotcha. I usually haven't played with team karma before, so I am a bit rusty on the rules. Count me in for 1 pt then.

Hey all, since we're a team, do we have/want to have an SOP for how we run meets? Like who's going to do the talking, do we have a set negotiator, we got anyone backing us up from a distance, secuirty, etc etc et al. Just something to toss out that we might want to think about.

Diesel will put in 2 points as well.

A few things about Diesel he is fairly secretaive and like teammates to call or leave a message before comming by so he knows in advance. Also anyone he shoots or fights is going to know he is their because shooting an unarmed man or shooting someone without giving them fair warning first is cowardly.

EDIT: I need to know if Loki or any other mage/shaman has the armor spell because I have a feeling diesel is gonna want him to use it on him.

For the talking, without seeing everyone's character sheet, I'd nominate Iblis to be our face. However, since not everyone likes changeling elves, I'd have Jake be the backup face depending on racial criticism.

SOP for Jake will be that 5 pts of Spell Defense is up for the group, with a 2 pt shield on Jake, Iblis, and Moe. The Shielding can change if certain people are very sensitive to magic. This is all based on what I can read from people's bios and the character sheets I've actually seen.

Joker--Emergency use is not a problem, the Focus is just if you want it up long term on the runs. Also can you put spoken words in quotes and give a cue as to who you are directing the comment towards. It's not a problem now but if we are all meeting and 10 posts have gone by, it'll get confusing.

McQuillan--As far as long term use goes a quickened spell might do the trick if anyone has a custom spell that dosent glow. I just remembered to tell fernis to surge dieselif he gives him the dual natured flaw so he can both see and knock down wards if he has a spell quickened on him. Im still debating how good an idea this would be though

I don't mind being the backup, since my character naturally prefers to stay out of the limelight. ;) And I'm fine with Jake and Ibliz being the talkers for the group. I trust you guys to look out for our best interests.

Only problem is I would need to initiate again to get quickening and then research that variant. All in all, a pricy option...

Then scratch the dual natured thing. Its only worth it if I can have spells quickened to Diesel
