You don't automatically add threads you've posted in to your tracking list. This means creating a new thread, then clicking on the TRACK THIS TOPIC button. Granted, the My Assistant page monitors it (kinda neat), but then it doesn't list tracked topics or even provide a link to the Subscriptions page, so you're left with going to 2 different pages to track your tracked topics (kinda sucks).

The tracked threads/Subscriptions page is kinda buried. Any chance of getting a more prominent link displayed somewhere, say, in My Assistant?

I agree with you. I've added a link to My Assistant that will jump you right to your subscribed topic list. I'll look into the other part of your complaint -- I hate extra clicks as well. Maybe a checkbox that you can select when you're posting to add the topic to your subscribed topics list, but it has to be optional.

Not sure when I'll get to this, but thanks for the feedback.

if you add that checkbox, maybe add an ability to have it selected as standard. it was useful to just hit a link to what threads one had made a post in indicated with the ones with traffic in on top...

one other thing i have seen is that some board but a diffrent indicator icon (the one that shows if a thread have had action or not) on the threads the user have posted in...

I'd rather that it not be checked as standard.

I'd rather that it not be checked as standard.

It was left (and will be left) unchecked as default simply because of the huge number of bounce messages we got from people who didn't keep track of how many threads they posted to, and subsequently tracked.

Control Panel -> Email Settings -> Enable 'Email Notification' by default

Is that not what you want?

Is there any way you can track your topics, without getting that annoying email notification? I have had to apply a mail filter to delete anything that comes to me from dumpshock to counter the notification spam.

Not currently. If you subscribe/track a thread you get the email updates. I'll look into making that optional, but I don't know when I'll get to it.

Thank you, I would appreciate that a great deal.
