A recent thread game me the idea that it would be fun to do a group of bounty hunters. Whos up for it? I'll GM if someone else doesn't want to, but I'd also play if someone thinks they'd have a good time GMing this.

First question: Do you want to do type A, where the group hunts paranormal stuff, or type B, where the group hunts down criminals and takes them in, or a combo of each?

I see some good potential for this to become a long term game that spans multiple runs.

That paranormal idea sounds interesting to me. I've had more than a few vampire hunter characters in my head for a while; would that work?

If you have ever seen the tv show "Bounty Hunters" that could be a good start. Modern day these guys are more like swat teams then civilians. With there special license and full tac armor. It could be a interesting game.

Hmm...collecting ideas...perhaps it would be a good idea to see what we decide on before settling on a char... A character designed to be an expert diplomat isn't going to be much help against a hellhound.

I might be interested in this, actually... I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what's decided and if I want a part in whatever becomes finalized.

I think I'll give running this game a shot. The group will be both paranormal and criminal bounty hunters. Characters are to be built with 130 points. Then you can tack on 100 karma, buying nuyen at 1 karma for 1000 nuyen. Send sheets to ecclesiastes76(at)yahoo(dot)com. From the sheets I gather I'll pick the players. Deadline for sheets is next friday, the 24th of Sept. You guys are building a team, so don't bother sending me any loners or social deviants that will mess things up. Feel free to bombard me with questions.

Aside from the guidelines already mentioned, what are the restrictions on for money and gear not normally available in CG?

I'll assume regular stuff? Rating 6/Avail 8/no Culture/Beta/Delta/so on and so forth...

Hm. Perfect CD in the player that can help for an idea... Be an older guy, Human.

In fact... The song is now ending! (George Thorogood and The Destroyers - Get a Haircut (and Get a Real Job))

Should give some good thoughts there... Maybe face-type for haggling with those giving us payment plus a few minor combat skills (Pistols or Assault Rifles/Clubs most likely).

Oh. Setting?

Make it rating 8, Avail 12. Cultured, Beta are ok if you have a background for it.

Setting will be Seattle, but travel should be expected.

What kind of permits will we need? I don't have SoNA, so I can't spontaneously guess at that.

I'm also looking more towards Adept Face. I'll toy with it and see how it looks before finalizing.

Initation fine as well? Will we have a group or should we look elsewhere other than in the group?

I think I'll do the vampire hunter idea. I'm not sure whether I'll make him a magic user, adept, or cybered hunter, but I'll think of that later.

Also, I'm going to need to talk with you about the character making special bullets (silver, etc) to hunt his prey with. I'll send you my ideas over e-mail.

I'm thinking of doing a nice shaman concentrated on manipulation. I have to think of a good background first.

Oh and rating 8 applies to what? Gear only or bought attributes/skills or even starting attribute/skills?

Ok so here is my base concept:

Female human adept detective/gunslinger with some surge. The sort of person who you would send to track someone down or locate them. Not a B&E expert though she does have some of that ability.

Ok, I've turned in a Raven Shaman for the game. Please let me know if you don't receive him.

I have an idea of a Troll Shock boy. Specialised in unarmed and armed combat useing the high body dermal and bone lacing armed with a piar of shock gloves.
Any other ideas for max take down in armed and unarmed combat.
