I'm looking for rules for creating hidden compartments in vehicles, the kind of thing any runner or smuggler would find useful for stashing things so they wouldn't be spotted by a casual search.

Am I just missing them, or should the Rigger 3 playtesters have been flogged. :)

I would think they'd be in Rigger 3 (haven't spent a whole lot of time looking in it) but I imagine you could start by using up available cargo space.

I'd use "Special Storage Area" pg 118. Its not quite right, but it may work for you.

Special storage aria works well. I was going to suggest that short of hermetically sealed storage it should be a bit cheaper but its already pretty cheep. Possibly reduced CF consumed because all the examples were going to need some king of refrigeration or compression unit you don’t.

Isn't the Special Storage Area a design option though, and not a customisation one? I think it is, which makes it difficult for runners and smugglers, unless GM or Ford makes a 'smuggler' version of the Americar - but then all LS would know where it was :o)
