The thing is in my SR-gr, we just had a long diss about inmobilize an enemy so that we interrogat him.
The rules are if U shoot a person in the leg and give him a deathy, he dies. do any of U have idea how to stop a person, with out using gel-rounds, and not killing him.

Plz help me out, thx.

1) IF you shoot him and give him a "D" Physical wound, he is DYING, not DEAD.
He can be Treated with a Medkit and stablized, and possibly brought back around.

2) Any number of weapons do "Stun" damage, so you can knock him out then cary him off to be interogated. (ie: Fist, Baseball Bat, Shock gloves, taser)

3) Trap him somewhere and threaten him until he talks.

Unarmed combat and alternate weapons can incapacitate a target, but what's preventing you from using gel rounds? Or chemical weapons?

As mentioned, if you inflict Deadly damage on the enemy, you can use a medkit or magic to save his or her life. And then interrogate the person using the medkit as an aid to the process.

I and many other GMs allow a player to perform a called shot against a person just to achieve a certain affect. Officially this is allowed in SR3 only for called shots against a Vehicle, but we allow it against people as a House Rule.

When using such a house rule, the more successes on the shot the more one achieves their objective. This allows shooting someone in the kneecap like we see in movies, or disabling a leg so they can't run, also like we see in movies. In Real Life, there are big leg arteries that when shot can cause a person to pass out and bleed to death in a very short time. Since this is a game, we play that a character can shoot a leg without risking such a result.

Gel Rounds are not bad for disabling someone, along with all the other weapons that do Stun. Simply use a Sim Patch 6 to wake them up for a few minutes of interrogation, and then let them pass out at the end.

Shock weapons are especially nice, because after getting hit they have a chance of being stunned, making it harder for them to fight back (it gives them a +2 modifier for x number of rounds).

Net guns are your friend.
So is Narcoject.
So are any number of spells - like Levitate!

Just to be an ass, could you please not use AOL-speak on the forums? Thanks. :)

On the question at hand, keep punching them until they pass out? Failing that just grapple them to the ground and tie them up.

Something that someone in our group put to excellent use is Splat Glue. Very effective; effective enough to tie down a toxic shaman, even.
