You want Theories on the nightwing incident. Here's mine, and I may not be as well versed in various Shadowrun info, but this one I understand.
It was the Dragons, they never showed that it actually was nightwings. What Radar IDed as nightwings could easily have been a large Dragon, or tight flight of Dragons. They destroyed it using magic (fireball, or the like) and because of their extreme magic rating it looked like bombs. It was the Dragon's way of testing their power, testing their strength in the world, and testing the world's stregnth against them. |

If you really want food for thoughts, take this: in his will, Dunkelzahn promise the Arrow of Red Dragon Slaying to whoever would report to Lofwyr what's behind the door of Room 429 in Saeder-Krupp offices in Berlin. You could think Lofwyr should know or could check what's in his own buildings, that wouldn't be hard... unless, that is, S-K doesn't label any room there as Room 429. Maybe Dunkelzahn is referring to an ancient plan, used before S-K bought the building which make things more complicated. If you read the Germany SB, S-K place in Berlin is the Tempelhof Airport, bought after the Euro-War. During the Euro-War, and especially after 2032 when the Russian tried to take Berlin, it's very likely the airport would have been used by the German or allied militaries (different times, during Cold War, the US Air Force used Tempelhof), who'd probably have radar and SAM installed, a possible threat to the Nightwraiths' approach. |

Anyone else ever had the suspician that one of the board members of Aztecnology (Juan whats his face to be exact) is actualy one of the immortal humans created by the Outcast back in the last age of magic, and has been downcycle hunting the other dragons as revenge. Remember, when Ehran assensed him he detected power on par with an IE, but in a clearly human aura. =)

No, I figured Juan Atzcatpolzalco was a being contructed to channel the mana of the Huey Tlatooni for the Great Feathered Serpent behind Aztlan, but that Juan's death and subsequent continued existence was due to the Horror behind Darke and his faction of Blood Mages, who were running the show until the Locus Incident.
Also, the GFS was DUnkie's bitch, which is why when GFS lost control he gave the shares to Dunkie, who passed 'em on to McCLure when he popped his own clogs. See, Dunkie just doesn't like McClure or AZT,a nd figures they deserve each other... |

Yeah. I'm sure Renraku was all over Room 1835, too. One thing I found interesting was that in Stranger Souls Roxy is thinking about Darke, who he said worked for Atzcatpolzalco. But then again, it was Roxy... in a novel... |

I might add something that, in light of your quote of the Germany SB, could solve Dunkelzahn's riddle: Tempelhof was built during the Third Reich and the colossal terminal and hangar buildings are quite small compared to the (now closed) underground sections and catacombs the Nazis errected. The upper leves served as bomb shelters (some walls are painted in Wilhelm Busch's style to soothe the children,) but the lower sections housed a complete aircraft factory and many things more I probably never heard of. Though troops searched the sublevels at WWII's end, some rooms might be concealed 'till today. It might as well be that Room 429 lies deep beneath the airfield, containing Nazi-relics, the Amber Room, occult secrets, who knows what certain Nazis found interesting. And more. |
