Grond simply nods, a slight smile on his face at the prospect of impending carnage, to show that he understands and has no further questions.

"I love it when you speak those sweet sweet words!"

A big toothy grin appears across Jack's face.

"If the mages fail in their object, which they won't, it will fall on the adepts. If they fail, which they won't if the mages do, it will fall on you. Kill the Queen before you kill the Shaman or you risk setting the Queen Free and making her even more powerful.

"If there is nothing else, I wish you the best of luck. Your time of departure is 08:00 in two days. Take your time to study the compound plans I have on the table. There is a copy for each of you."

With that finalized, he steps back to his desk and sits down, duly going to work. The guards once again line up the same way, waiting for you, and then for the man who led you in.

Once you are lined up, you are returned to your holding areas to do as you please until 8 AM of the day after tomorrow.

Grond returns to his rather spartan quarters, his mind sinking back to its usual apathetic state after the earlier excitement. He methodically eats the gruel of tailored nutrients that keeps him in optimal condition, then turns in early.

The next day, he carefully studies the maps, although the patterns of the drawings tend to draw his eyes in, and several times it takes his IMS kicking in to break him out of blankly staring at the lines on the paper. He is less distracted at the firing range, where he sharpens his long gun skills in anticipation of the upcoming fight. He doesn't deign to even notice the Saeder-Krupp quartermaster, who is muttering under his breath. The cyberzombies are among the elite few who are allowed to use live ammo, rather than the state-of-the-art virtual target range, which the quartermaster has always seen as being extravagantly wasteful.

Grond also examines and cleans all of his gear personally, humming softly to himself as he polishes his military-grade armor to a dull but lustrous sheen.

The Beast bows his head, and follows the guards to the door where he is once again put on a leash. Walking on all fours, he follows the lab-coat that leads him into his living chamber. It's a dark room, lit up by a royal blue light that makes seeing or reading nearly impossible. As the leash is removed, The Beast leaps straight up and out of sight, into the darkness that hides the ceiling from the normal folks. Unseen he lands squarely on a pole that is about 3 meters from the ground. His feet grip it tightly, as his tail swings in a manner to maintain his balance. With little hesitation, he grabs the nearly invisible cable hanging from the ceiling, and plugs it into his arm, just inside the elbow. His vision changes, as the room around him lites up, first forming grids which outline the inside of a grand foyer, then the foyer itself.

A receptionist standing behind the desk welcomes him, "Good morning sir, you've reached the Saeder Krupp help desk, how may I be of service."

"I know the way, heading to the IT department. ", replies the Beast as an Elevator door opens to his left out of mid-air.

Stepping onto the Elevator, the door immediately closes and then opens again, this time to a room filled with desks and computer parts lying everywhere. A techie is sitting on the floor trying to assemble some strange hardware. He looks up at The Beast. IT-Department, what's your issue?"

The Beast doesnt' seem to pay the automaton any mind though, moving to a red door in the back of the room that flashes a warning, "Radioactive Materials Within". He places his palm against the door, and a voice reverbrates in his skull, "Warning, you are entering a secure zone, IC initiated.... Welcome Beast, Identification confirmed."

The door disappears and he enters what appears to be a medieval dungeon with a Black Knight battlign it out with several strange looking creatures. "Just a sec Beast, lemme get rid of these hackers right quick", the Black Knight says in an almost kid-like voice. With that, he reaches behind his shield and pulls out a gun the size of spaceship, and with one pull of the trigger, the wierd looking creatures disappear. "Heh, that was fun, like my new toy?" the Black Knight asks as he slips it back under his much smaller shield.

"Interesting Bryan, but why did you wait so long to use it if you were having trouble?"

"Oh that, new program written onto the sword which gives it a virus like poison. Was trying to scratch someone with it, but they were using some whiz hot devirus program that was.... Bah, you don't really wanna know that, whatcha here for?"

"I need some Knowsofts created or gotten somehow. Top Secret stuff though, so I have to go through you instead of the normal librarians."

"Top Secret you say?!?", and incredulous voice returns. The Black Knight removes his helmet, showing a school boy, not older than 15 beneath, "Tell me more, what's the project? Who we going after? Can I come along this time?", the boy obviously overly excited at another one of the CZ missions.

"Well, first see what you can dig up. I need a level 4 plus knowsoft for battling bug spirits. Something that concentrates on their weaknesses, as well as psychological profles on them and whatever/whoever summons them."

"Tough stuff big guy, I'll have to get back to you on that.", the boy replies, a contemplation look upon his eyes.... or maybe just a constipation look. Regardless, The Beast simply nods, and says, "Goodness, either way, I'll let you know the details of the mission if I return.", then The Beast disappears as he pulls the datawire from his arm jack.

Fro now he spends time going over the blueprints and security schematics.

The Beast calls back down to Bryan after about an hour of studying the plans. "Boss, I send you a fax, think you can turn the data into something my GPS and ImageLink can use?", he asks in a distracted voice as he suddenly notices yet another possibility on the plans.

Jack saluted Lofwyr, turned around and marched back into the guard formation. Soon he was lead back to Klaus's station, where he got a cup of coffee and waited for him to look up from his desk.

"So Klaus I got a large misison ahead, I'm going to need a triple load this time, and make it Armor piercing, This time I get to play Orkin man." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Orkin man, what are you talking about" Klaus retorted looking up from his terminal "Man I'd love to know what they are putting you up against this time, but we both know that lies for after you make it back. I just got the kinks out of your armor from the last fight, please don't make a habit of juggling frag grenades for the ladies again." he said as he wheeled out on of the pallet jacks that contained large metal containers, all marked Top Secret.

Jack grabbed both of the pallet jacks, one hand on each, and started to pull them back to his lair, then stopped "Hey is the target range open, I want to make sure Betty doesn't jam again on me" and he continued to pull.

"Nah they got Grond in there, and with your combined mojo, there wouldn't be any work done in there today." he answers outside his office.

The Beast is called by Bryan, but it's business. The chips are done, able to be picked up whenever.

An hour before the unofficial role call, the three Cyberzombies are taken from their areas and moved in for preparation. The room is large, almost if done to make the person using it believe he is in open air. Nothing but medical equipment is in the room, with a special section set aside by runes, glyphs and many other types of magic-inducing writing.

Tests are run, results are agreed with hastily and the impromptu team is off to their own hangar for their mode of transportation. With thirty minutes to spare, the team is left to idle chit-chat or whatever else they deem appropriate.

The Beast nods to Bryan, "Much obliged boss, you know me and computers... I assume these work ok with my GPS Link, eh?", and after a nod of affirmation from Bryan, " Awesome! I'll make sure to share the details with you when I get back.", he says with a wink as he slides out the lab doors on his way to the Hangar.

"Gentlemen", the 4-legged Beast says as he addresses his 2 co-zombies. His body and tail covered in a tight overalls material that appears purely black with dark royal blue lines seemingly making a matrix surrounding over it, "I assume we're all ready? I've been going over the layouts, and have it all GPS set to overlay itself on my vision mods. We should be good to go.", his last words seeming to disappear as his image fades from view. "Ruthenium is a go, Image Scanners are a go.", as he returns to view, pulling an Ares Predator from a concealed Holster, "Locked, Loaded Pistol is a Go", as he slips it back into a holster and picks up an H&K from where it was leaning against a wall, its handle bolstering the engraving 'Bitch' on the side, "and lastly, the Bitch is a Ho".

He looks around as if unaware of his verbal typo, the adds "..... errr, I mean Go."

When Agent Kriker leads Jack to the diagnostics room, he hands him his
large leather bathrobe "Jack why do you wear a leather bathrobe, that
is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of", he asked.

Jack snorted "Well to be honest with ya Klaus, the chicks dig
leather". He then allows the technicians and technomages do their
work. The others at this point would notice that on his skin are
larger than normal dermal deposits, which seem to lend to a very
rocky and unattractive form. On of the technician goes to check his
eyesight and you will have noticed that he also has a third eye on his
forehead, which has been replaced cybernetically. When is is lead out
to the hanger he is still wearing his bathrobe.

Jack nods to the Beast, and makes a small snort at the snafu.
He walks over to the pile of crates holding his equipment. Pearing at
the steel case, larger than he, he mutters to himself "A knight is
nothing without his armor". He opens the case and the nitrogen seal
hisses as the hanger air rushes into the case. Therein lies a series
of plating, two articulated arms, and a extremely large suit of
Milspec armor. He disrobes, and then starts installing the glistening
plating on his now obvious cyber torse and legs. He occassionaly
snags the plating on the large, chiselesq spurs coming form the base
of his forearms.

"So, the fabled Beast and Grond the walking dervish, I've heard
only rumors about your certifcations. If we are going against these
insects we should know now exactly what can be expected of each other.
I guess that is a bit forward so I'll start off" he states as he
finishes installing the plating and is now working on the articulated
arms.

"Code name Jackhammer, certified in Demolitions, Mining,
Personel retrieval from both natural and corporate hazards, hand to
hand combat, a plethora of ranged combat skills, stealth, and a good
sculpter if I do say myself. My primary roles in most expeditions are
supporting fire, close combat, and entry into the most secure places"
he mutters "with the least descretion'. Do either of you know how to
use a laser target designator? Or a battletac system for that
matter?" He finishes attachting the arms and suits into the Milspec,
which has been specially modified for his spurs and articulated arms.

Grond, already in his own suit of heavy armor (but moving with the same ease someone in normal clothing would display), looks up from his inspection of his weapons - a missile launcher, an assault cannon, and a few smaller arms: a Colt Manhunter, a taser, and a rifle-like grenade launcher.

"I am Grond. You could say it is my code name, but truthfully, it is the only name I bother answering to now. I am a heavy weapons specialist, nimbler than a tank but about as tough, with about as much firepower. I can use lesser guns when I need to, and I pity any who are unlucky enough to get within the reach of my fists."

He slowly shakes his head, no, at Jack's question. "I leave indirect fire to the riggers. I prefer to personally confirm my kills. I am... thorough... in combat. I have comm gear, but have found little use for Battletech networks. They are good for people who have trained, intensively, as a team, but for others, it is too much data, a distraction rather than an aid."

The Beast smiles, "I make a circus acrobat look like a stumbling fool, and an Stealth Adept seem like a neon glowing clown. You guys are welcome to do all the combat, I'd rather leave my guns at home. My training has been primarily in bypassing security systems quietly, and in hand-to-hand. I leave my H&K outside the building to give myself supporting fire if needed during my withdrawal, and in the past 16 missions, it's never been fired. Matter of fact, I've not even been shot at in the past 16 missions. I don't imagine I'm in anyway a part of this team for my firearm skills, you guys can have that."

"Hmm I'm going to have to ask for you two to carry a laser designator, you see these arms here arn't the easiest to use when they don't have a eye in the sky. Atleast Beast could you carry one for it seems you would have a excellent vantage point at times when i'm busy, these little babies can have a mind of their own. I was going to run the battletech, but if you dont' want to use it, I'm fine with it, but just to be on the safe side" He throws a wristband to each of his compatriots, each bearing a small tactical readout, with a slot for a data jack cord.
