I wrote SRTracker as a test concept. To see it it were possible to track initiative, damage, and have a handy lookup for the GM...
As time went on, it became apparent that the concept was okay but the program itself had serious deficiencies. It was difficult to update, modify, or change... In a word, the programming su*ked! I decided to rewrite the program using Object Oriented concepts (still VB6 though). Mainly classes. The question: 1) What do you like about the program / concept? 2) What do you hate about the program / concept? 3) What would you add / delete from the program / concept? 4) Any other thoughts? Constructive criticism please. :D I can be heckled anywhere :rotate: |

I like the idea of being able to see everyone init and the pass there in at a glance. I LIke the idea of having everyones stats on hand so you don't have to be asking them what it is constantly.
Maybe a window with tabs. Each tab is a specific area, a different character etc. Just some thoughts. |

Maybe you could include the possibility of saving the current state of a given combat, so that it can be continued later? It would make the Tracker a lot more useful for PBEMs or forum-based games, where a long time can pass between turns.
Of course, it's been some time since I saw it, so that feature may already be there :). |

It would flow better for me if, after you fire a weapon and get successes, you could automaticly move into the target's dodge/soak table with the data from the hit (ie, 1 success, 10S, Dodge TN 5). Not always, but a seperate button you could hit would work well.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I can be heckled anywhere (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rotate.gif) 1- Being able to track stuff with a computer and not using pen and paper. and Database it. 3- Load characters from daisy box' SRCG Have all the game master screen tables (Sr4a updated) inside. Make it opensource in C# .net to allow XML backbone. Having an eye on all the character skills in one screen if you open character skills. It would allow the GM to tell the player roll Perception with X dice... |
