Ok... I think we will all agree that we have got to that stage where the run is over really. I will leave both OCC and IC open for a while so people can put down what their charecters are doing in the next few weeks, so people can roleplay buying eqipment, making new contacts or whatever they feel is fit for their charecter. I know what a couple of you are doing and as for the others I can think of a few things you SHOULD be doing!! :grinbig: So if everyone is finished with this meeting, start making your next few posts about what you are doing.
DONT FORGET, ORDER THINGS ASAP IF THEY HAVE A LONG WAITING LIST TO GET HOLD OF THEM!!-I WILL BE INFORCING THAT! THINGS DON'T MAGICALLY JUST APPEAR OVERNIGHT! -(well, unless Seeoh has learnt some new tricks! ;) ) |

Am I correct to assume from the quiet that everyone is done and ready to carry on with the mission? or busy and not had time to reply, or actually working out how best to spend the money?!
answers on a postcard people! when I know where everyone stands, we will begin the next run! |

I'm really sorry to do this, but the way this semester is shaping up, Ace may not be able to rejoin the group :( Well, if the Vamps of Seattle game just sort of dies, I might be able to, but that's still up in the air. I can spend time on one online game right now, and you shouldn't have to wait for me to see if I can join you all.
Again, sorry. When I have more sime, Silver, I'll send a list of shit Ace wants to buy, or what not. (Also, was Karma awarded for this run?) |

Still here as you can see, and ready for anything. I'll be saving any available karma beyond what is needed for skill improvement. I can't recall how much (if any) we were awarded...
That's about it... |

I am really sorry to hear that Gunner-and I am sure that everyone else is to! but dont worry, if you want to join back in at a later date then you will be welcome! -just let me know and I will either get you in on the next run or find some way of having you written into any current ones. Am I correct you arn't going to be joining this next one then? because I need to make a few adjustments if thats the case.At least post OCC so you can keep up with events!!!
Mysterio- thats no problem, a couple more days is fine... but only a couple, I will let you get things after then but if everyone else is finished and waiting then penilities will be incurred for getting what you want! Drain Brain- Cool, just assume your charecter is working out really hard. Rakshasa- yes, its two points of karma each. If you want to spend it let me know how. So this leaves a hole in the group if Gunner does need to go, because now you are going to be short one rigger... so shall I have a charecter take over the role of rigger? or does somebody else want to? shall we advertise for anther player? let me know!! one thing I was thinking was, I do enjoy playing riggers (9 out of 10 charecters I play are Riggers!) so shall I find a person to take over the Bluebirds place as the street sam and take on the rigger myself? Let me know everyone, As I have always said, this is everyones game and its you that has to play it!! |

Under the normal course of events I would suggest that NOT changing things would be best, but in this case I think a little thought is warranted...
It is probably best that we "advertise" for another player. There are just, what, three of us now? Not including your NPC... HOWEVER I think that (contrary to my normal inclination) it would be practical for you to make and run an NPC rigger character - much as we saw in the last run, a rigger's life can get boring if he/she doesn't have the resources to be remotely helpful (drones, I mean). That leaves an opening. I feel that it would be very weird having someone else playing Bluebird. First, they would play the character very differently and second, it would be difficult for you to find someone willing to play someone else's character who is already established. That all said, I reckon we should advertise for an experienced gunbunny or Tank to join the ranks. What say you? |

Re the flop. A squat is good, though an offer on the place would be better. Open with 25K 0 say ten feet of real estate is disappearing yearly - but don't go any higher than say 40K. That's about all the team can afford without a mortgage. :)
Seeing as Ace may not be able to run, one of the outbuildings would be good for him to stash his van. That way he can `come back' whenever opportunity arises. |

That sounds like the best idea... only thing I hate about "advertising" is the fact that you always get thousands of requests asking if they can join, even if they dont want to play that kinda charecter!! but nevermind!
Regarding the idea of buying a safe house... but can I point out that in the main book, it says that buying a place has to be equal to the cost of 100 months rent. Which means you guys are looking at 100,000 for that property. I know its falling into the sea and stuff, but even so! |

Time was that if you staked a claim to a parcel of land, and worked/developed it for a year and a day you acquired `Squatter's Rights'.
If the Team takes up residence and the LS don't notice...... Anyone got a Lawyer contact? My vote - if it's necessary - would be to squat. Seeoh might even plant a cottage garden, just to show willing. :) |

I think that's all that codec is going to get right now. I bought the crashworm rating 3 for 1800 :nuyen: using the char gen program. So that's the only change to Codec's char sheet.

Are you going to hash out the training thing SS? Or are you just going to "GOD" it and brush over in favour of continuing the plot?
I'd probably go with the latter, but it's up to you! |

Can you let me know what crashworm actually does please?! I havent got a clue about such things!!
I am going to do a little bit of both with regard to the training of Flip.... when I start the next run he will have had a bit and I will just talk about some of the things he did during that training.... I will start the next run soon, with or without a rigger... after all, I can always get them in at a later date and write them into the storyline! but its taking me a lot longer as to tell the truth the entire storyline was based on Ace being here... because it was about his past in the airforce and stuff...so im working through some ideas to try and come up with a good run fast!!!! |

Well best I can gather, trying to do some quick reading is that it worms it's way through a system then crashes it. If anyone knows better please help me out. Also, uh I'd just like to say that I like the idea of the place as sort of a hideaway but right now Codec is at home and best as I can see, doesn't know about this whole thing :( Should I just assume i gots a phone call? (Man I seem whiney today *L*) |

Sorry I haven't replied to anything.
The worst seems to have passed in my life (for now), and to be honest, if I had any idea the run would be centering on my character, I wouldn't have quit. My schedule seems to be working out well enough that I can handle two online games (really, it only takes a little out of my day), and I'm sorry if this forces you to RADICALLY switch gears back to what you wanted to do, but I don't want to screw you over when you came up with a run idea just for my charcater, nor would I want to screw the team out of a good rigger. I just need to look back over the OC thread to see what my money total is... I kind of lost track. The only thing I know Ace could have spent money on are the Van and the hideout, and I know he wants to get a VCR hookup for the van and a RC deck (just in case, he still thinks of himself as a fighter pilot, not a drone rigger...) I'll make an IC post later today. |

Well I didnt mention anything before as I like to keep these things a nice suprise for you!! : :talker: If my workings are correct you have made 14,000 out of the run in total...because it was 7,000 prepaid and anther 7,000 on completion! in all seriousness Gunner, I don't mind you pulling out... it just means that I have to make a few alterations. I dont want you feeling like you have to do the run! I know from personal experiance that sometimes RL gets in the way of playing this! So only carry on if your sure you can (and want) to do it! To be honest I think the 14,000 Ace has made would be plenty for VCR hookup and a vehicle control rig! maybe even a few extras if you decide to shop secound hand! Let me know if you are going to carry on...because if thats the case, then I will launch the next mission today sometime. If not dont worry, because I am in the process of making a back up mission anyway! -sometimes it helps to have days off work in the middle of the week and be bored!! :cyber:
Mysterio-assume I called you and let you know! And just so everybody knows...(or may have noticed) I am softening up Bluebirds personality a bit....she was a bit of a Bi**h before and I didnt warm to playing that charecter, so im making a few changes - as far as the team are concerned, they can just assume she is warming to them!! |

So nobody can accuse their faithful GM of cheating im just letting everybody know how much money has just been spent!!
Using two of my contacts (one hitman, one fixer) bluebird has just put in orders for: New sniper rifle- cost 4000 APDS rounds - 50 rounds at :nuyen: 70 per round is 3500 and Full Form Fitting body armor- 2000 We were paid 14,000 for the run. and flip paid me 1400 that makes 15,400. deduct what I just bought and she has 5900 left... if anyone can remind me what we paid for the hideout that we are now leaving...I will deduct the money from that to!! Just so everyone knows im being fair!! |

Just so that everybody knows... I now have two missions ready for you all to play, one is the original that involved Ace (im not saying any more on that because I may use that run at a later date) and I have one ready in case Gunner decides not to run.... I just need to know what is definatly happening regarding a rigger... depending on if I hear anything from the players taking part, Tomorrow lunch time (in England) then one run or the other will take place because I dont want to keep waiting those who are ready.
I look forward to hearing from everyone! |
