Precisely. So if I'm the one giving the orders, why do they get a 4-2=2TN because they have something helping them visualize my orders, but I only get a TN4. Am I having trouble visualizing my own orders? It seems like of all people, I should have the easiest time (i.e. the lowest target number of all) understanding my own orders. |

There aren't TNs listed for running tactics on yourself, only for character-to-character. So, it may not be TN4.
Edit: Change a word and everything goes off! |

Chances are it is still TN 4 by default, as it processes the information for you. But like anyone else, you need that HUD map to take full advantage of the data it's transmitting, so you use the same modifiers, too. (A weak explanation, but it's a set of rules that were badly executed to begin with.)
