Get a high enough fast talk skill and "Look behind you, a distraction" is a perfectly valid tactic in SR. Even better with carefully arranged control manipulations.

Heh yeah talking to some of my various characters from the various editions would be interesting. What kinda responses they had to fill in the blanks for all the times I wasn't personally responsible for their behavior or backgrounds or interests. How a few ended up. Hell technically a few of my 1st Edition SR runners would still be older and greyer, but alive, though 1 may or may not be, and if he was, may be a cyberzombie.
