"Me, I do a little bit of everything."-Cloud Strife
I mostly play human or elven physad powerhouses (if such a thing is really possible :P). I did tinker around one time with a human rigger and custom powered armor, but that didn't go very far. |

I'm a planetary geologist, which is to say, a geologist who gets to work on Earth and Mars (I kind of prefer the term "Planetologist" from Dune, but it's so hard to get people to take you seriously that way). I work on the physics and chemistry of climate and geology, hence my propensity for making back-of-the-envelope calculations on these boards. My handle comes from when I was working as a ranger in Badlands National Park (which is when I signed on the first time).
My mad scientist side has been expressed as a magical researcher runner named Zakharov (based off of the very talented ex-Soviet scientists who work in my lab). The closest I ever got to "being" my character was a "para-geologist" (read: orichalicum rustler) who was based off of the field geologist I've always wanted to be (I'm at home in the middle of nowhere with a hammer and compass, but I've always thought that having some spells like create food and create water would be useful). My favorite character of all time, though, Gritz N. Bitz, the ork decker, was based on the fact that I am a Southerner (transplanted recently), which although it is not an occupation, is a full-time job all the same. |

I'm currently a CISCO CCNA Intructor and a professional IT troubleshooter. Due to a high intelligence and a low boredom theshold I've had quite a varied career from sticking my arm up a cow's arse and wanking pigs, through opal mining, demolition and roo culling in OZ, forensic surveying and data analysis to R&D testing for a major organisation and being a bar manager.
I tend to play awakened generalists. |

Generalists meaning 'jack of all trades'? Don't make me scour my books trying to figure that one out. ;) |

I'm a technical writer and translator for a German software company, with a background in (would you believe it) linguistics, Irish Gaelic, German and stuff like that, as well as a little bit of (now long since rusty) programming and software engineering.
I just run the damn game... |

I herd Dirt and dodge Littles. A Custodian at a DayCare center. I'm also working towards certifications as Harley/Honda Motorcycle mechanic. I am of Very Ecclectic Pagan faith and more then anything else study religions, theology, philosphy, and sociology. So my Game has a lot of diverse culture aspects to it. I love military history and try to get my players a bit tactical for thier 'Runs. I try to give them at least one cigarette break to make plans, or maybe more.

I'm an artist, currently working for a screenprinting/embroidery shop as the art department. I do a lot of recreating logos and the long hours tend to kill any creativity that I used to have, but I still try to draw/create. I have thought a lot about submitting some stuff to try to get a piece of art or two into a Sourcebook, but I lack the persistence to crank out 8-10 pieces of SR type art as I tend to be all over the spectrum.
Hey Crimson Jack, if you need a cool pin-up or two for your graphic novel project, lemme know, I'd be down with contributing something and asking for nothing in return aside from acknowledgement. Drop me a PM if you might be interested in seeing some of my stuff. I tend to be the designated GM for Shadowrun, though I'm not sure why. My players say that I'm just the best GM they've ever had for SR so I don't get to play anymore, but that's okay, 'cause I get to play D&D on a weekly basis with a badass DM, so I still get my playing fix. |

I lucked into a pretty sweet job: I'm a Futurist/Researcher.
Most of the time, it is a lot like consulting. At its best, I get to create scenarios and forecasts to describe what things might be like 25+ years in the future. You can see the connection to Shadowrun. :cyber: |

Currently training for my MCAD.Net certification (C#, SQL, ASP, ADO, etc.)
Fun, eh? Well, at least I have a girlfriend,so I'm not a total geek...right? Most days consist of sitting at the computer designing relational database elements and windows/web apps, then sitting at my computer designing Shadowrun characters and posting on Dumpshock. I have a really nice chair. I used to GM pretty much exclusively, but thankfully I have a player who has started to GM, so we switch every few games. I play pretty much anything and everything but deckers. (Due to the time involved in running them.) |

Currently finishing off my MA in European and Eurasian Studies (BA in International Relations) and interning at one of the IR think tanks in DC, working on a comprehensive history of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I'm hoping to work for the government, either in DoD or State, though if that doesn't work out I may just end up on the think tank circuit, as it were. My professional interests are focused on European defense reform, both NATO and the EU's ESDP, as well as the modernization of the eastern european and former soviet countries' defense establishments. I also have this moderately inexplicable affinity for the Baltic States, where someday I hope to run. I'm currently game-less, but in the past I've played a variety of things, I'm currently fascinated with magic-users, but I've had a blast with sammies, SpecOps types and Riggers. Back in undergrad I introduced my friends to SR and GMed a few games, which I like to pull out when I go back to visit. |

Currently getting my M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Langauge. Wroking on my thesis at the moment, which precludes much gaming, so nothing now, though I might be getting together a game in the near future when said thesis is at least in a 2nd or 3rd draft... ugh :sleepy:
