Okay, as many know, Living Room Games now makes Earthdawn. They're relatevily well known for the good storyline ( :) ) and horrible art ( :( ).

However, I feel they're going to improve on both soon, with their latest offerrings (check out their products page). Also, you should check out the Downloads page, either so you can get some idea what ED is about and understand why people like me rant and rave and refer to it; or because they've got some handy documents for us GMs/Players.

Oh, as for the front page: I really have no idea why in Hell they would create a Capcom RPG. :-| :sleepy: :dead:

I will second AH's recommendation of Earthdawn - I have all teh books and novels (apart from Caroline Spectre's unpublished in English books).

I also noticed in the new SR FAQ that WizKids owns ED now and licences it to LRG. How was it before now? Was the licence still "owned" by FASA?

Yes; FASA still exists as they own some properties and backstock.

Some of their art is getting better -- from what I understand, they have a new art director (or whatever the job title is called). A buddy of mine has about three pieces published by them (and a few scattered around some Mongoose books), and they're starting to...polish...a lot better. They aren't just saying "draw us a cool picture" any more, they're asking for very specific looks and situations to be displayed visually, pictures that tie in very directly with what's going on on that page of text, etc, etc.

I can't vouch for every single one of their artists, mind. But I know when they get to talking with Jay about a picture, they're starting to get a lot more specific and generally "professional" seeming.

Continuing the fine FASA tradition! Ghost willing, it means they took out more cheesy Manga-esque Photoshop-touched-up art. The Adept's way books really do look neat.

They finally changed "late summer" to September for the release of the Way of the Warrior.

I *hope* it is well written. I have been unhappy with the organization and lack of detail and overall quality of writing in Barsaive at War and Barsiave in Chaos.

Good ideas everywhere. Poorly executed.

Hey, this might be sort of off-topic, but I figure it's worth a shot. I know the ED fans around here are reading this, at least.

Does anyone know of any published ED adventures for small groups of low Circle characters? Right now our Earthdawn group consists of three players on a good week, two most of the time, and we're all starting fresh (0 Legend Points). We promptly went through the "Kaer Kaellyn(sp)" adventure and killed a very very minor Horror that turned people to stone. It was an adventure I'd been through before, but even if I'd used any of it my previous knowledge wouldn't have really been any help -- you fight two Shadowmants and a Horror. There's not really any "tactics" or anything involved, just some tension, some stairways, and some dice. You can't even really make any wrong turns and get lost.

Our problem, now, is that we're stalling out. The GM can't find diddly shit to run for us. Our last ED campaign lasted long enough to get a couple of us up to Seventh Circle -- but there were five of us that time (always at least four at any given session), and we could handle the published adventures without much tweaking or die-fudging on his part.

This time, though, the GM is really having some trouble finding anything that won't kill us outright. As a result, we haven't played since the first session. He's not real good at completely making it up as he goes, and even though we can tread off the beaten path quite well (and make him improvise plenty), he pretty much requires the framework and stats and stuff from a published adventure.

It's a big world, for a first circle Scout and his Illusionist sidekick (or vice versa, depending on who you ask). Anyone got any ideas?
