what does the "last post read" function go by? to me, it seems like it just goes to the last message on the last page that you visited, which is kind of not useful (well, it is but..)

Is there any way to truely determine, in this board set up, exactly which message was truely the last one you read on any given page? prehaps some easy cookie change?

just rambling on how to fix it, but it seems like i often have to scroll up to really get to the last post i read to continue from where i was reading.
