:: Iblis reaches over her shoulder and slings her backpack to the ground. She releases some latches and the whole thing unfolds into a mobile decker command center. She has it all in one easy carry item. She already has a datajack plugged into her deck and the roll out screen comes to life. Everyone can see copies of the layout of the site. A small printer begins to churn out copies of it. She reaches into another compartment and pulls out a handful of small electronic gizmos. ::

"Clip these on somewhere safe. They have an AOD signal repeater in them so we can monitor everyone's position while on site. I will route the feed on the comm channnels for those of you with image link. It will show each person's spot on the site map. Each one has a different numerical tag to keep idenities clear. The site has been broken down into a grid system so those without image link can still somewhat follow along. Keep these handy."

:: She opens another small pouch and pulls out some clip on mirco-camcorders. She hands them out. ::

"Put these somewhere about head or shoulder height. This will allows us to see what you're seeing. These babies only have thermo and low-light so keep that in mine. They do have an audio pick up but they range is somewhat limited and if things get loud and messy we will probably lose whatever ambient noise is around. Tune your comms to the channels listed here (points to her deck screen) and we will start on the top and work our way down as needed. I need to know what's the lowest level of encryption we have running so I can adjust my gear. I am operating at an 8th level of encryption. I will be the switch board operator. This baby (pats her helmet) has a great HUD unit and me plugged into Bessy here will keep us informed as a team. "

:: She folds the deck back up into its compact and well protected state. She hoists it onto her back and adjusts the straps till it fits snugly. ::

"I need you security types to lay out whatever plan you think is best. I have little training in that department. I say we use the jeep as a fall back position, I will keep the medical supplies there and we have a little heavier firepower in it, just in case. Everyone ok with this so far?"

Ohanzee is visibly stunned with awe! (but stays 'cool' as usual)
"Impressive! I have my own orientation system and GPS with me but that'll work just as well for me. I do have an image link... of course.
I'm on encryption/decryption rating 6."
while talking he gets Iblis' gear in place.
"I'll take a look around the perimeter with Marcus in a moment and we'll try to come up with a plan."

:ooc:
Anybdoy seen Sarge/Murphy yet? Shouldn't we maybe wait for him? Maybe he can't go online now (like I couldn't for all of last week)

:: Resting her backside on the jeep, she smiles with pride as Iblis hands out her little toys and shows off her quite valuable skills. ::

"Since it looks like Ibs is gonna have best situation info, she's probably do best as all around tact. leader. Boy's let's go walk the compound and take a look-see at what we are dealing with."

:ooc: We'll keep going without Murphy as it isn't that hard to backdate posts and bring him up to speed quickly. And, if he doesn't make it, that'll just factor in to the endgame. Anyway, in response to Fenris' plea for leniency :) here is what you can pick out:

The fenceline is sturdy and will prevent any spur of the moment intrusion. There aren't any drainage pipes located on site, so any subterranean attacks will require extensive planning and supplemental equipment. The nearest building is across the street, about ten meters away. It is of the same height and could be used as a base to rappel across to your warehouse. In the same vein, the site lacks any nearby towers or wires that would serve as deterrants to an airborne insertion. The warehouse is solid, without any entrance apart from the two on the southern side.

As everybody is scrambling around to get things organized and ready to go Ohanzee all of a sudden stops in his motion and somehow absentmindedly stares down, as if admiring a particularly attractive part of the pavement. About two seconds later he starts staring holes into random spots in space and then starts walking around aimlessly.
Suddenly he snaps back into focus and turns to the team:
"Allright guys, I just got a call from Murphy. He says he'll be joyning us soon. Apperently there have been some... complications. I don't think this should keep us from doing our work now anyways. We can fill him in on anything he missed as soon as he arrives. Ready to go, Marcus?"

He nods, internally pleased that things seemed to be falling into place so readily.

As he walks with Ohanzee, he points out the areas he mentions on the flimsey.

"The fence looks strong enough to repel any random incursions, so I think our critical points to watch will be the gate, since there's no ramguards," he motions to the building across the street, "rappeling from there, or aerial insertion. I suggest we post the troll with the heavy machinery in the guard shack with the orange one as a base of operations, and have the two of us walking random patrols, as stealthly as possible. The warehouse entrances face the guard shack, so the two there will be able to watch for anyone that might slip past us. Thankfully there's no windows or other exits, although one of us might want to check for trapdoors on the roof."

He glances up as he speaks, looking thoughtful for a moment.

'In fact, one of us should probably be on the roof, preferrably concealed with a rifle. It would provide a nasty surprise for anyone planning on doing some kind of aerial drop, as well as giving cover to those on the ground. Plus, it's low enough to the ground that it would be easy to move back and forth, if necessary."

He falls into a natural rhythm of speaking and analyzing, briefing Ohanzee just as handily as he ever did any of the employees under his watch.

:ooc: My plea's? Awful quick to slip into that Master™ role, aren't we? :vegm:
Floodlights on the fenceline? Roof entrances? Long, straight stretches of road that would provide the perfect area to build up speed before ramming the fence or the gate?

:ooc: Oh I'm just getting warmed up. No floodlights, the only night illumination will be provided by the streetlights. You haven't been able to view the rooftop directly but from Iblis' print outs it doesn't look like there are any entrances. The southern gate entrance is on a cross street so, no, no room to get up to ramming speed.

Ohanzee follows and listens carefully, looking around the area and analyzing everything as he goes along. (OOC: Security Systems and Security Devices Knowledge Skills both at 6)

"Yeah, someone on the roof might be a good idea. That also gives us an advantage on surveillance. Better overview. Luckily there's not enough space here to build enough speed to bust in with a vehicle of some sort so we don't have to deal with that kind of problem. It shouldn't be too easy to climb over this fence. We have some heavy weaponry at the gates. Looks like we're pretty much settled. If you don't mind I would suggest that you go up the roof, if you can manage and keep the overview as well as the command. You seem to be an able team leader. I will then patrol the grounds. I'm better at hiding in the shadows then playing the sniper. I'm also outfitted with any kind of preception enhancements you could want. That's why I would prefer patroling."

A grimaced smile flashes across his face as he settles into the familiar comraderie of professionals, the feeling triggering thoughts of William.

"Agreed." He toggles his radio, more to check the established frequencies then anything else.

"Ohanzee's going to walk a ground route, and I'm going to position up on the roof. You two will stay at or around the shack as TacCom and heavy weapons. Any questions? Oh, and does anyone have an Ascent/Descent Kit or rope? It'll be useful if I have to get down in a hurry."

He motions to Ohanzee as he listens for a response and begins walking the rest of the way around the building, back to the shack, already mentally deciding which gear to bring up on the roof and kicking himself just a little for neglecting to bring along the A/D Kit.

:ooc: Any way to get to the roof, like a maintenance ladder or something? And how far of a fall am I looking at? ::cough:: Hypothetically assuming the GM decides to toss me off the roof, I mean.

In the distance, you can hear the bells of the Cathedral of St. Jude. It is now 1100.

:ooc: No, no way that you can see of getting to the roof. The warehouse is three stories tall, about fourteen meters at its tallest.

:ooc: Any possibility of climbing it without a grappling gun? Crevices, cracks, worn sections, perhaps parts low enough to jump up, grab hold of, pull myself up, and repeat as necessary?

Since nobody seems to answers, Ohanzee enters the discussion on radio, his lips motionless, his voice only audible on the comm units, as he uses his internal transducer to feed his headware radio:
"I'd have some climbing gear you could use. A/D harness, kit, rope and a grapple gun. They're in the shack with the rest of my equipment."

:: Olga takes the time during the walk through to check her equipment. Starting with Bertha, her baby in the back of the jeep. Lovingly, she checks it thoroughly before loading the large belt from the box below the weapon. SHe disengages the remaining few snaps holding the soft top in place, save a single snap to keep the wind from picking it up. ::

:: Next, she begins to unload her other weapons, checking each over carefully, though each had been cleaned thoroughly within the past week. Propping them next to the door of the guard shack with an extra clip next to each. She then opens the smaller ruck sack, filled with grenades and flash paks, and sets it close to the guns under the counter next to the door. On the counter itself, she places her Savior Advanced Medkit before grabbing a bag of cheesy poofs and a soda. ::

:: Frowning at the lack of Troll compatible seats, she takes her Colt and slings it over her back before taking a seat in the jeep, leaving the door open and sitting sideways so she can see the fenceline and be two steps from the minimal shelter of the guard shack. ::

"Ya want any shnacks before ya scale da buildin'? Ya might get a bit hungry up there all day..."

He cants his head and gives half a smile to Olga as he comes round the corner with Ohanzee, moving to the shack to gather up the A/D Kit and the Grapple Gun, waving a another bag of cheesy poofs towards the Jeep before stuffing it into the duffel bag with a few energy bars and a couple bottles of water.

He gathers the rest of his gear, including his rifle, into a second duffel, and totes the pile over to the base of the warehouse, on the north side. He begins to strap on the harness, motioning for Ohanzee to fire the grapple gun up to the roof while he works. He loops knots around the straps of the duffel bags, making it obvious that he plans to pull them up seperately once he's reached the roof.

Ohanzee graps the graple gun and moves a quite a few steps backwards to get a better angle for the shot. He then takes a good look at the roof, looking for anything for the hook to catch, which will probably be a latch at the edge of the roof. He then fires the hook generously over the latch and rolls up the rope so that the hook slides over the roof and finally catches the latch.
He then walks back to Marcus to hand him the gun:
"Here, you can use this to pull yourself up. Up there you should try to secure the line. I will then help you to haul your luggage up there."
When that is done, Ohanzee goes back to the shack to gather his equipment. The Savalette Guardian heavy pistols go into holsters under his arms, two long and ridged combat knifes go to holsters on his waist. The two Tomahawks are tucked under his belt as usual. He then slings his Remington Rifle onto his back and puts the spare rounds into little openings in his belt. The rest of his equipment is left in the shack for now. He then starts to patrol slowly around the building. Carefully scanning all the surrounding buildings and shady corners. Basically all the places where one could hide. He also looks out for 'suspicious' vehicle groups and especially vans.
As he does so he idly starts to chat over radio:
"So Overkill, how come a nice girl like like you starts toting such heavy guns at adopting such tough names? I hope you don't take this as an insult, but you seem to be a rather sweet girl to me..."

He threads the harness with obvious familiarity, and hoists himself and then his bags onto the roof with rapid efficiency, enjoying the pull and play of the muscles in the effort involved. It had only been a few months off the job, but it was good to be back, nonetheless.

Setting the rifle and other items out, where they would be easily accessed, he familiarizes himself with the layout of the roof, and then moves over to the edge, scanning the scene below, and listening to the chatter start over the radio. It was familiar as well, in a way, although usually it was background chatter from clients and their associates.

The day passes uneventfully, afternoon waning into night. Street traffic grows in volume, but never truly reaches busy. Very few pedestrians are out and about in the January chill, but those that are give the warehouse and it's heavily armed guards a wide berth. The last of daylight fades as the bells of the Cathedral of St. Jude ring out the seven o'clock hour, the pavement lit now only by the sullen orange glow of the streetlights on each corner.

Perception Check: 10 8 5 5 3 1

Keep in mind I have and use the following senseware:
Lowlight
Infrared
Optical Zoom 3
Flare compensation
Audio Amplification
Damper
High Frequency hearing
Spatial Recognizer
Selective Filter level 5

Most system I keep switching on and off all the time, depending on whether they are compatible with the other stuff but I'm making an effort to use all of them as often as possible. However, I give thermal preference over lowlight. Only when thermal is too blurry or not exact enough due to too many heatsources will I use lowlight instead.
In random intervals and whenever I think I hear something strange I will use the selective filter to go through the frequencies and isolate the sound.

I'm a little distracted by the conversation but only very marginaly. During the chat I seem to be absentminded every now and then, which is always when I'm taking a closer look at something.

:ic: Marcus falls into a standard pattern, walking a random patrol across the rooftops with his lowlight and thermo glasses on, cradling his rifle. He checks in every few minutes by toggling his radio, and is careful to stay back from the edge of the roof to avoid being spotted from the ground. His attention is focused on the surrounding rooftops and the air, trusting Ohanzee and the rest to spot anything coming in at ground level.

Since there's a concentration named Alertness for the Stealth skill, I assume that the skill can also be used to look for other people who are trying to use stealth on you. Of course, Ohanzee is also trying to stay in the Shadows and make himself hard to see, but he's not really actively sneaking and hiding.
Anyways, if you have any use for it, here's my stealth roll:
