Well we ran Friday night and I got mixed reviews. I tried to run a four hour game, but by hour three people started to bail. Please give me honest critique, so I can improve for next time.

It was good, really. Just a little hard. Lily has decided that sleeping at night is highly overrated, and, therefore, noone should participate in it. As she is immobil, she really can't affect too many of you with her insidious new plot of world domination through sleep deprivation, however, we keep her in our room, so she pretty much has us under her oh-so-tiny little finger. Hopefully, next time, I will be a little more alert. I really think we should put up a game in Welcome, or play it here, if the admins allow, for all the general descriptions, routine actions, and limit our play to a couple of times a month, for some good combat or rping stuff. Remeber how bad we all were the first time we played tabletop, looking up all the rules 30 times apiece, and that was without the Matrix crap. Anyways, my point is it didn't get smooth for us for quite a while. I think this is the same thing. We don't really have a format worked out yet, so we are going to hit all the rough spots. Keep on playing this way, however, and we will smooth it out. And Nathan might learn how to type faster than 5 wpm. (that's words per minute, for anyone who isn't a typist). Definately, keep it up. If I say I can't for whatever reason, I will mean it, it won't be a cop out. I am totally interested in keeping this game alive.

i kindof agree that maybe doing it pbp would be a good idea, atleast for the non combative stuff. If you can keep the story moving to the point where every friday is "fight night" i think that would be kick ass, or atleast the major fights atleast. I'm sure you might've been ready to kill mew though bastard, i really thought perception was a skill (hey, it's the dnd in me trying to get out "everyone make spot and listen checks! "hehe)
It did seem slowish to me, but i didnt want to put any additional stress on you by doing something myself. I was tempted to pull out one of my drones and do some sight seeing, but again, that would have been additional work for you, and most likely all i would've gotten out of it would have been to see the limo, meh... |

No i wasnt gonna kill anyone...but it is a good idea. I thought it was going well, but I was trying to answer five PMs at a time, and by the time I finished the fifth, I had another round waiting, all reading "GM...?" Hehe....so as long as everyone was not upset with me I would love to continue. Need a system for OOC and IC though, cause I had to keep scanning back up...I didnt know what was goin on. :rotate:
Aku send the drones...just remember to give me time to respond :) I had Jaruen astrally scoping and Harry pming me their actions...and "the Black Wind" doing his thing. Right now the mission is legwork. Locate the dudes parents. I cant remember, but someone did have a lead where to start looking. If they didnt catch it, someone else will. Jaruen..actually I thought this went more smoothly than most of our FtF (face to face) runs. It was a bit slower, but at least I heard from everyone, and if I missed it I just had to scroll up! horray! :D Talk to Nerdthaniel and AB if you get a chance....see what they thought. Everyone---next time I need more help keeping OOC and IC seperate. It would help me move a lot faster. :) Thanks for the input so far. |

well, i was tlaking while we were sitting in the park waiting, perhaps if theres time i could do some drone work sometime during the week, and try and update the team if need be, i understand it (as a mechanical happening) can be boring for other players

I was in latex, not leather, you freak.
So far it looks like Sunday afternoon is the best time. I have no response from Captain Jackass or APB so far. I plan to have two rooms this time, one IC only and one OOC only...its too hard for me to run otherwise. Right now the plan is to start around 1500 Sunday Pacific time. I will be on early, so that anyone that wants to get a head start on solo legwork and such can do so. Is this time good for everyone so far? If everyone wants to bump it up or back we can do so. |

This is the information you all have so far:
-Mr Hogo Akabashi, a well dressed Troll, has hired you to help him find his parents -They used to be upper level execs for Fuchi, but due to company policy, he was sent to Yomi Island, a metahuman internment camp, when he Goblinized -Since then he has made a name for himself in the art world -He went back to Japan to find his parents, where his search has lead him to Seattle, where they were transferred shortly after his departure. -In Seattle, he has used most of his resources, but has run dry (information wise), and is looking for help locating his parents -He is paying you 2,000 :nuyen: each, plus Bubba has 500 :nuyen: that Akabashi gave as spending money -When you locate his parents you are to call him and take him to them In game you all have decided to seperate, and do some legwork and meet back up the next day at 1600 at McBeavis's --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyone who wants to do their legwork, we can do it before noon pac time or after 2200, leave a time here to meet via yahoo messanger or just pm me This post has been edited by Bastard: Mar 16 2005, 08:39 AM |
